In August 2015, the a cappella group Pentatonix visited Dallas as an opening act for superstar Kelly Clarkson, although which act received more vocal support is certainly up for discussion. Fast-forward a year later, and the popular group just made a return stop in town - only this time, they were the headliner of an epic evening at the massive American Airlines Center.

Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, announce today that a further 60,000 tickets will be released for sale on Tuesday, 22 November 2016, at 11am GMT, for performances from 13 December 2017 - 4 February 2018. Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there will be over 300 tickets at £20 or less per part. This will be followed by regular ticket releases throughout the next year, details of which will be announced via the official Harry Potter and the Cursed Child website, social media channels and the official newsletter.

The West End production remains as sold-out and beloved as ever, and rumors have long been circulating that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will make a Broadway transfer. Now, according to Page Six, the eight Harry Potter story will make its debut at the Al Hirschfeld next season. Currently home to the long-running Kinky Boots, if Cursed Child were to move into the Al Hirschfeld, it would be a major score for Jujamcyn, which has already announced that the expected Disney juggernaut, Frozen, will move into the St. James following a major renovation to accommodate Elsa'a ice castle.
Los Angeles Master Chorale Receives Major Grant from The James Irvine Foundation

The Los Angeles Master Chorale announced today that The James Irvine Foundation has awarded a $450,000 Exploring Engagement Fund grant to support the Chorale's launch of Big Sing Californiathat will culminate in June 2018. This two-year grant will support the Chorale's ongoing efforts to utilize state-of-the-art live-streaming technology to enable thousands of Californians to connect with others throughout the state for a shared singing experience, led by its Swan Family Artist-in-Residence and Grammy award-winning composer/conductor Eric Whitacre.

During the recent Ghostbusters furore, enraged opponents claimed the movie would ruin their childhood. As someone who grew up with the Harry Potter book series - preparing for GCSEs while the characters stressed over O.W.L.s - I can happily declare that this affectionate, spellbinding work only enhances that treasured experience. It's both nostalgic and thrillingly new, a smartly crafted love letter to J.K. Rowling's invention and to theatre itself.
