Seattle favorite David Sedaris returns to Benaroya Hall for one night only, Sunday November 10 2019 at 7:00pm. 'Sedaristas' traditionally pack the house, at present only rear main floor, scattered singles and third tier seats remain available. He is one of America's pre-eminent humor writers; the master of satire and one of today's most observant writers addressing the human condition. With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, he will delight the audience with twists of humor and intelligence as he shares both published stories and works-in-progress.

David Sedaris and WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? Head to Luther Burbank Center

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC)announced today that it has added two shows to its 2019-2020 lineup-NPR humorist and best-selling author David Sedaris on Thursday, November 14, 2019, and Whose Live Anyway?, the live improv show from the cast of the Emmy-nominated TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Joffrey Ballet to Open Season with Christopher Wheeldon's SWAN LAKE

On the heels of the highest grossing season in its history, The Joffrey Ballet opens 2018-2019 with the much-anticipated return of Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake, which became an audience-favorite when it premiered in Chicago in 2014. Danced to Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's classic score and performed live by the Chicago Philharmonic, Swan Lake is presented at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Congress Parkway in 10 performances only, October 17-28, 2018.

Live at the Eccles is thrilled to announce the return of David Sedaris to the Eccles Theatre on Sunday, November 18th. David Sedaris, America's best-selling literary funnyman, returns to the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) for an evening of his captivating and hilarious storytelling on Saturday, May 12 at 8pm.

For 7 consecutive evenings, Sedaris will delight Seattle audiences with workshop readings at the Broadway Performance Hall from his soon-to-be-published essay collection Calypso. The intimate 295-seat setting allows audience members to be up-close-and-personal with Sedaris as he polishes the final draft and answers questions from the audience. All workshop readings begin at 7pm with one 2pm matinee on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

Kitchen Theatre Company has let the elf out of the bag!! The surprise entertainment at this year's Holiday Party and Fundraiser will be a special reading of David Sedaris's The SantaLand Diaries by Kitchen Theatre favorite actor Karl Gregory. The party will include festive eats and wonderful local wine and beer. It's happening for two nights only: December 13 & 14 at 7:00 PM.

Photo Flash: TURANDOT Opens at San Francisco Opera

San Francisco Opera inaugurates its 95th season on Friday, September 8, with Puccini's Turandot, staged in the iconic production by English artist David Hockney and conducted by Company Music Director Nicola Luisotti, and two opening night galas. Saturday, September 9 features the opening of a new production of Richard Strauss' Elektra. The festivities continue on Sunday, September 10, with San Francisco Chronicle Presents Opera in the Park, an annual Bay Area tradition celebrating the opening of the opera season with a free concert in Golden Gate Park.
