The Alley Theatre announces the line-up for the 2022 Alley All New Festival, June 16 - June 26, 2022. The Festival will feature five new plays including readings, workshop performances, and an early draft preview. Festival playwrights include Monet Hurst-Mendoza, Austin-based Kirk Lynn completing a Thornton Wilder work, Kemp Powers, Don X. Nguyen, and Alley commissioned artist and Houstonian ShaWanna Renee Rivon. 

Concluding BTC’s Building New Pathways gala event on March 27, Co-founders T. Oliver Reid, Warren Adams, and Reginald 'Reggie' Van Lee, joined by Board members Aaliytha Stevens and Naila McKenzie, along with Executive Director Olivia Jones and Program Director Nik Whitcomb announced today the addition of Davon Williams as Communications Director.

Award-winning film, television, and Broadway star Skylar Astin will take on the lead role of Seymour in the three-time Best Musical Revival Award-winning production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. 

Hadestown has released the news that André De Shields, Broadway's original Hermes, is set to depart from the award winning production on May 29th. His replacement has not yet been announced.

Broadway in Portland announces today that single tickets for PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL will go on sale on Sunday, April 10. 

Stephen K Amos will play the role of Alfred P. Doolittle. Stephen is a BAFTA award-winning comedian whose stage work includes My Night With Reg and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Malcolm Sinclair will play the role of Colonel Pickering. Malcolm has performed in more than 50 theatrical productions and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 Olivier Awards for his performance in Pressure at The Ambassador's Theatre. 

Head Over Heels is the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening. Just last night, two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick and two-time Emmy Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker made their return to Broadway in the long-awaited opening of Neil Simon's classic comedy about marriage, Plaza Suite under the direction of Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey.
