The winners of the 2010 Nightlife Awards were announced today, as were yet more special guest stars who will both perform and present the winners to the audience on Monday, January 25th at 7 PM at The Town Hall.

There are NO ACCEPTANCE SPEECHES at the Nightlife Awards. The winners perform to show why they were chosen.

The line-up for the show that Stephen Holden of the NY Times called 'The Nightclub world's equivalent of the Tony's' is fast becoming blindingly bright in its star appeal.

The 8th Annual Nightlife Awards, hosted by Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch, will celebrate the most outstanding performances this past year in cabaret, comedy and jazz in the clubs of New York City. The show will take place at Town Hall on Monday, January 25th (curtain at 7 PM).

Emmy-nominated Paul Anthony Stewart stars as Raskolnikov in a gripping 90-minute adaptation of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment at The Cleveland Play House. In addition to numerous New York and regional theatre roles, Stewart, who was nominated for his recurring role on 'Guiding Light,' recently appeared on Broadway in the revivals of Fiddler on the Roof and Cyrano - The Musical. Performed with only three actors, the adaptation of Crime and Punishment by Marilyn Campbell and Cut Columbus is being helmed by the acclaimed director of the 2005 Play House production of I Am My Own Wife, Anders Cato. Crime and Punishment begins in the Drury Theatre at The Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 27 and runs through Sunday, March 22, 2009. James Barbour (Tale of Two Cities) and Kerry O'Malley (White Christmas) will join the cast of Broadway Musicals of 1924 on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd. The Town Hall (Executive and Artistic Director Lawrence Zucker) is pleased to kick off the ninth season Broadway By The YearTM, known for great singing and spectacular Broadway dancing. The series is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall. Broadway Musicals of 1924 will be directed by Jeffry Denman and will also star previously announced Broadway by the YearTM favorites Marc Kudisch and Sarah Jane McMahon.
