The winners of the 2010 Nightlife Awards were announced today, as were yet more special guest stars who will both perform and present the winners to the  audience on Monday, January 25th at 7 PM at The Town Hall. Among the winners  that have already committed to eschew their acceptance speeches and perform instead are Christine Ebersole, Cheyenne Jackson, Johnny Rodgers, Gretchen Reinhagen,  Anne Steele, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano. Many of the winners, as soon as  they are reached, will be joining the cast, as well. Among the additional winners are  Kurt Elling, Hank Jones, Sheila Jordan, Bad Plus, Baby Jane Dexter, Louis CK, John Mulaney,  and Slovin and Allen.

Performing in support of these Nightlife Award-winners -- and presenting winners to the audience -- will be former multiple Nightlife Award winners John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey. They join the previously announced performers/presenters Nellie McKay, Tovah Feldshuh, James Barbour, Jim Caruso, Howard Fishman, Martin Vidnovic, and Noah Racey and the NY Tap Ensemble. Hosting the Nightlife Awards for the second time in its eight year history will be the Emmy Award-winning Bruce Vilanch.

In a statement, Scott Siegel, the creator/producer of the Nightlife Awards said, "As we head in
to the final two weeks before the show, we are quickly building toward a critical mass of extraordinary talent on the stage of Town Hall on January 25th. Not only do we have big stars like Christine Ebersole, John Pizzarrelli, Jessica Molaskey and Tovah Feldshuh who have been part of the Nightlife Awards before, we also have great new talent taking part, like Cheyenne Jackson, Nellie McKay, James Barbour, and  Howard Fishman. And we've only just begun reaching out to the other winners. We have an excellent track record for getting the vast majority of the winners to come to the Town Hall stage and perform.  We trust that this year will be no exception. In any event, we've got an amazing array of special guest star performers -- and there will be more of those, as well.
