Houston Grand Opera's mainstage 2022–23 season has something for everyone and is comprised of 46 performances across seven productions.

 Emmy, Grammy, and Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to Broadway this season starring in Ohio State Murders by Adrienne Kennedy, directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon  (Fences, A Soldier’s Play).

Houston Grand Opera has announced Jennifer Davenport as the company's first Chief Marketing and Experience Officer. HGO has recruited Davenport to this new position as part of its commitment to sharing superlative art with all Houstonians and introducing new audiences to opera.

The Michael Grandage Company has announced that Emma Corrin will return to the London stage as the title role in Orlando, from the novel by Virginia Woolf in a new version by Neil Bartlett. Michael Grandage directs, reuniting him with Corrin, following their recent collaboration on the feature film My Policeman for Amazon.

The Hobby Center Foundation has announced the appointment of Mark Folkes as President & CEO of the Hobby Center effective August 22, 2022.

The New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), will star Luba Mason and Caesar Samayoa.

On the Verge Theatre has announced the cast for Runaways, playing August 5 – August 21, 2022.

Houston Grand Opera has announced the appointment of rising star Joel Thompson as the first full-time Composer-in-Residence in its history. The company has recruited Thompson to Houston after commissioning and staging the 2021 world premiere of his first opera, The Snowy Day. His five-year residency with HGO begins on August 1, 2022.

Kenny Corrigan was selected by Artistic Director Michael Novak to join the  world-renowned Paul Taylor Dance Company.
