Theatre Resources Unlimited (TRU) has announced the star-studded cast of  TRUSPEAK… HEAR OUR VOICES!, an evening to raise awareness of current social issues, as well as awareness of the work TRU has been doing for the theater community for over 30 years.

Dr Shashi Tharoor, Indian politician and Member of Parliament (MP) launched a new book titled 'Silver Lining - Overcoming Adversity to Build NephroPlus, India's Largest Dialysis Provider' written by NephroPlus co-founder and author Kamal Shah.

What do you get when you have a ballet dancer who dreams of making it professionally and showing the world that guys can dance too?  You have a real-life Billy Elliot story, which is happening to someone who played the titular role of Billy on the West End back home in the UK, and is now here in the US studying and training in professional ballet making his dancing dreams a reality! Not only does he dance, but he has done a few acting roles as well and even participated in a professional opera as a dancer. He is taking the role, and making it his real-life story!   At the end of the musical, we see Billy leaving his home and family to head off for training at the Royal Ballet School, so this is like getting to see the story continue beyond the stage!  Broadway World Detroit got a chance to catch up with Brodie Donougher, the last person to play the role of Billy, and see what he’s up to since his days on the West End stage 7 years ago!

BroadwayWorld UK recently had the chance to speak with the stars of 2:22 A Ghost Story - Jaime Winstone (Jenny), Clifford Samuel (Sam), Sophia Bush (Lauren), and Ricky Champ (Ben) - about the show and what it has been like to be a part of the spooky story, including their own beliefs on ghosts and the supernatural!

I’ve seen many productions of “Les Misérables” over the years, Dear Readers. I’ve seen local productions and tours. I’ve seen with the turntable and without. And, of course, I’ve seen good and not so good productions. And with all those viewings under my belt, I had to ask myself, “do I need to see it yet again?” And the answer I got last night was a resounding yes. When it’s a production as good as this one that can remind you how amazing the show is, you absolutely want to see it again.

Producer Laura Elrick, in association with AMT Theater has announced the opening of Bettinger's Luggage, by Al Tapper, scheduled to open in September of 2023 at the AMT Theater.

Waterfront Productions will present The Pitch, written by Tom Alper, directed by Louie Liberti, and produced by Tom Alper and Christine Blackburn at Madnani Theatre. The production runs July 1- July 23, 2023. Performances are Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 3:00 pm.

“White. A blank page or canvas. The challenge: bring order to the whole.” These words begin Stephen Sondheim’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE – an exploration of the passion and beauty found in creativity and art as told through the fictionalized eyes of the artist Georges Seurat. In mounting this rarely produced musical as the close to its 58th season, Titusville Playhouse gloriously captures the emotion, the urgency, the relevance, and the importance of this Sondheim classic and delivers it flawlessly.

Aspects of Love is, essentially, an indefensibly problematic musical soap opera that looks exquisite but didn’t need to be revived.

Theater enthusiasts are in for a treat as the classic mystery novel, Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, adapted by Ken Ludwig, is brought to life on stage.
