FOLKLORIC BALLET OF MEXICO is playing at the Palace Of Fine Arts from April 28 to May 26, 2019.

The 2019 Jeff Lima Production Award, created by Chicago Fire actor Jeff Lima in partnership with the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, has been awarded to Max Walker-Silverman, an MFA candidate at NYU's Graduate Film Program.

HBO is in production on MCMILLIONS, a documentary series chronicling the stranger-than-fiction story of an ex-cop turned security auditor who rigged the McDonald's Monopoly game promotion for a decade, stealing millions of dollars and building a vast network of co-conspirators across the U.S. The series comes from Unrealistic Ideas, the non-scripted production company launched by Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Archie Gips and producing partners James Lee Hernandez and Brian Lazarte, who will serve as directors on the documentary series.

Stage West is pleased to announce the 10th annual Festival of the Kid performances, Monday through Wednesday May 6-May 8 in the Studio at Stage West.  This unique festival was originally conceived by Rob Bosquez, Jr. and Dana Schultes in 2009, and its first performance was presented in December of that year.  Their idea was simple: produce plays written by kids and use their peers as the performers.  Since that time, the Neighborhood Play Contest has drawn hundreds of entries, and has expanded to three days, with two performances each night.

Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, written and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin, from the book by Mary Shelley. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein runs May 8 August 4, 2019 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. Tickets are now on sale. The press performance is Saturday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m.

This spring, award-winning playwright Caleen Sinnette Jennings's Queens Girl in The World and Queens Girl in Africa are presented together for the first time at Everyman Theatre. Directed by Resident Company Member Paige Hernandez, both Helen Hayes Award-winning actresses Dawn Ursula and Erika Rose reprise their roles following the inaugural performances at DC's Women's Voices Festival in 2015 and 2018.

The 12th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival, presented by Zappos, today announces additional programming - including shorts, labs and special screenings. Grand Park celebrates Los Angeles creative voices at the week-long Grand Park's Our L.A. Voices: A Pop-up Arts+Culture Fest, a free performing and visual arts exhibition and marketplace.  Featuring more than 100 L.A.-based artists and creatives, the event culminates in a weekend-long (April 27-28, 2019), family-friendly festival that will feature dance, music, film, theatre performances and visual artwork, as well the Jardin del Arte, a public marketplace with more than 50 artists who sell their work on-site. Free lunchtime workshops will be held the week leading up to the festival, April 22-26, 2019, and will focus on creative practice, as well as practical skills related to making art in Los Angeles. While open to all, the workshops require pre-registration.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), the professional North Fulton theatre company, will finish its 26th season with the over-the-top, 1920s gangster romp that isBullets Over Broadway The Musical by Woody Allen. Based on the film Bullets Over Broadway by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, the production will be directed by GET Associate Artistic Director James A. Donadio, with musical direction by S.
