Pittsburgh CLO is proud to open the 2018 Summer Season with the Pittsburgh premiere of Broadway sensation, ON YOUR FEET!, June 12-17 at the Benedum Center. Pittsburgh CLO remains steadfastly dedicated to the creation of new work, and co-produced the Broadway production of ON YOUR FEET! as part of this ongoing commitment. Pittsburgh CLO has brought over 20 new shows to their "Feet" on the Broadway stage, including the recent productions of An American in Paris, Kinky Boots, Matilda The Musical and many others.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Jeff Kready and Tally Sessions in a return engagement of their hit show "A Fine Bromance" on June 13th, 2018 at 9:30PM. "A Fine Bromance" played to a sold-out crowd in its first appearance at Feinstein's/54 Below in the fall of 2017. Jeff Kready (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Billy Elliot, Les Miserables) and Tally Sessions (War Paint, Falsettos, School of Rock) bring an evening of jazz standards, classic show tunes and new favorites, with their own special brand of hilarity, to Feinstein's/54 Below. The Rat Pack meets Simon & Garfunkel meets Abbott & Costello. They'll make you laugh, they'll make you cry, and some of it will be on purpose. You won't want to miss this late night musical extravaganza of comfort food and belly laughs for the soul.

The Guthrie Theater (Joseph Haj, artistic director) proudly announced the cast and creative team for the theater's summer musical, West Side Story. Directed by Haj, this major revival of a timeless classic will play June 16 - August 26, 2018, on the Wurtele Thrust Stage. On Day 13 of 30 Days of Tony, we celebrate two-time Tony winner Joe Mantello, who is nominated this year for Best Direction of a Play for his work on Three Tall Women. 

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater Executive Director Edgar Dobie and Artistic Director Molly Smith announce that Khady Kamara, who joined the organization in 2001 and most recently served as Associate Executive Director, will move into a newly created position as Managing Director.

Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced that Paul Schneider ('Parks & Recreation') will complete casting for the upcoming Broadway production of Young Jean Lee's dark comedy,STRAIGHT WHITE MEN directed by Anna D. Shapiro. He joins previously announced Kate Bornstein, Josh Charles, Ty Defoe, Armie Hammer and Tom Skerritt.

Creative Arts Lab presents STAGE LIFE, a rousing celebration of lives well-lived in and around the Theatre - The work, the art, the passion, the craziness and the joy, conceived and adapted by Martin Tackel.

Mean Girls will launch a National Tour in the Fall of 2019 beginning at Shea's Buffalo Theatre. The show will also tech and rehearse at Shea's in the weeks preceding public performances. Mean Girls features a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film, music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond; and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

La Ti Do Productions (LTD) brings together Washington, DC's best in partnership with DC Metro Theater Arts (DCMTA) to sing-a-long to Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda's music to celebrate the musical tour's residence at The Kennedy Center this summer. GALA proudly concludes its 42nd season with the DC premiere of Dancing In My Cockroach Killers, a bilingual musical with texts by award-winning Magdalena Go?mez, music by Desmar Guevara, and conceived and directed by Rosalba Rolo?n. BroadwayWorld has just learned that the role of Jared in DEAR EVAN HANSEN will be played by Sky Lakota-Lynch. This will be his Broadway debut. Will Roland will play his final performance on June 10th.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, stage and screen star, Patricia Morison died at the age of 103 at home in Los Angeles of natural causes. A stage icon and legend best known for her starring roles in Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate and The King & I opposite Yul Brynner, she established an indelible mark in films with a reputation as a the villainous femme fatale with large blue eyes and extremely long, dark hair that made her a favorite of studios and fans alike. 

Second Stage Theater will soon present STRAIGHT WHITE MEN, beginning previews at the Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street) on Friday, June 29, 2018 and officially opening on Monday, July 23, 2018.  Young Jean Lee's dark comedy, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will star Armie Hammer, Tom Skerritt, Josh Charles, Kate Bornstein and Ty Defo.
