National Theatre Announces New Work For 2020 – 2021; Including Kristin Scott Thomas and More!

The National Theatre today announces nine productions that will play on the South Bank in 2020-2021 alongside previously announced shows. These run alongside our international touring productions, three plays that will tour to multiple venues across the UK and a West End transfer. The NT also announces today that it will increase the quantity of low-price tickets on the South Bank by 25%, with 250,000 available across the year at £20 or less.

Full Casting Announced For New Immersive Production Of ZORRO THE MUSICAL

Full casting is announced today for the new spectacular production of Zorro The Musical which will run at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester from 14 March a?" 18 April 2020, with opening night for press on 18 March, directed by Christian Durham. The show will be brought to life by a cast including Antony Costa as Garcia, Alex Gibson-Giorgio as Ramon, Emma Kingston as Luisa, Genevieve Nicole as Inez, Kit Orton as Don Alejandro and Benjamin Purkiss as the masked hero, Zorro. The cast is completed by Ajjaz Awad, Amy Bastani, Isobel Bates, Ben Boskovic, Maxwell Griffin, Matthew Heywood, Jessica Pardoe, Thomas Ping, Seren Sandham-Davies and Stylianos Thomadakis.

ZORRO THE MUSICAL Comes to Hope Mill Theatre

Katy Lipson and John Gertz have announced a new production of Zorro The Musical which will run at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester from 14 March a?" 18 April 2020. The production will place audiences at the heart of this legendary adventure as they are invited to take part in flamenco dancing and sample tapas on offer during the evening. Audiences will be taken on a journey into this iconic story of good vs. evil, love vs. hate, by an energetic and talented company of actor-musicians, directed by Christian Durham.

SWALLOWS & AMAZONS Comes to York Theatre Royal

Following last year's smash hit production of The Secret Garden, York Theatre Royal takes a fresh look at another children's classic in this summer's family show, Arthur Ransome's Swallows & Amazons, from 26 July to 24 August.

National Theatre Announces New Exhibition RONAN MCKENZIE: PHOTOGRAPHS

Inspired by Andrea Levy's Small Island and Helen Edmundson's adaption for the National Theatre, photographer Ronan McKenzie has been commissioned by the National Theatre to respond to the post war journeys undertaken by Caribbean men and women between 1948 -1971. Photographed in Leigh-on-Sea on the shores of the Thames estuary, McKenzie's documentary style images subtly connect ideas of seascapes, water, arrivals and new beginnings to Levy's Small Island.

Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 5 pm. All performances are "Pay-What-You-Can."  Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected at each performance for local charities.
