Harvey c*cks Jr. has taken his final bow and left the stage. Harvey may not have been “born in a trunk,” as the saying goes, but as the scion of a theatrical family, he did sleep in one as a baby.  He was born April 3, 1925 in Glen Cove, Long Island. 

In May, New Conservatory Theatre Center closes out their triumphant 40th Anniversary season with Encore. Featuring a cast of Bay Area favorites, this musical medley travels through NCTC's 40 years of living out loud - both on and off stage.

PREMIERES NYC has announced the expansion of its bi-annual commissioning series INNER VOICES with the New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant). 

Based on James Agee’s autobiographical, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, A Death in the Family, the story begins as Agee struggles to write his greatest work—about the event that touched his young life and the effect it had on his mother, his town, and his own future.

The new EP follows Bollinger’s two previously independent EPs, impressive support dates with the likes of Jeff Tweedy, Faye Webster, Real Estate and more, and a very unexpected writing credit on Kanye West’s 2021 track “Donda,” which sampled Bollinger’s 2019 song “Candy.” Watch the music video for the new track now!

The subscription music-centric streaming channel The Coda Collection introduces The Coda Companion, a first-of-its-kind second screen experience that unites concert films on the channel with the untold stories that surround and enrich those films. Uptown Players will open their season with Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, a new two-act revival of Fierstein's original 1983 Torch Song Trilogy. As the original title indicates, “Torch Song Trilogy” consisted of three plays when it originally opened on Broadway and was trimmed to two-acts for an off-Broadway revival in 2018 that later tranfered to Broadway in 2019.

Face To Face Films ensemble member and creative partner, Jaclyn Holliday, joins the cast of 'The Girl with the Red Hair' as Hayley Jones. She has also joined the team as Producer of the show.

Macbeth begins performances tonight, March 29, 2022, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) and opens on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Learn more about the cast bringing this show back to the stage!

Carrying the banner through it all! Some of Broadway's original Newsies gathered this week to celebrate the show's 10th anniversary!

Chicago's acclaimed Hell in a Handbag Productions makes a long-awaited return to New York with its 20th anniversary production of THE DRAG SEED, an unauthorized parody of the 1956 psychological horror-thriller film The Bad Seed. Written by Artistic Director David Cerda and directed by Cheryl Snodgrass, THE DRAG SEED begins performances March 31 at La MaMa.
