The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) has announced three of Broadway's bright stars are joining us to encourage and entertain attendees at this year's International Thespian Festival (ITF). They'll also join in celebrating the best in high school theatre as multiple productions are performed on the Main Stage daily.

The Wallace Foundation today announced 18 arts organizations of color* will participate in the first phase of a new five-year arts initiative, part of the foundation's efforts to foster equitable improvements in the arts. Each organization will carry out an individual project to address a strategic challenge they are facing. Researchers will document their work with the aim of developing useful insights about the relationship between community orientation, resilience, and relevance.

The new season reunites the following all-star voice cast: Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds) as Judy Ken Sebben/Birdgirl, Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) as Brian, Sonia Denis (Set It Up) as Evie, John Doman (Blue Valentine) as Dog With Bucket Hat, Kether Donohue (You’re the Worst) as Gillian, and more.

Following its run at Asolo Repertory Theatre, the world premiere musical KNOXVILLE will receive an Original Cast Recording. The album features all new music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens.

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. New York Classical Theatre has announced casting for Shakespeare’s romantic adventure Cymbeline, directed by Stephen Burdman. The production will be presented from June 14 to July 10, 2022 at public parks in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The stakes are high as four teams of colorful contestants face off to combat tremendous tipping towers. Each life-sized themed tower is chock full of various objects ranging from basketballs to small kitchen appliances as contestants try to successfully pull items from the stack without tipping it over in order to earn prizes.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced today that legendary actress and five-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury will receive the 2022 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
