So much time and effort goes into presenting any sort of play... from the written word, direction, set design, lighting, sound, and especially the actors. And here in I'LL GET YOU BACK AGAIN, it's the play that needs a little work and tweaking.

Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for Signature Theatre's production of The Gershwins' & Ken Ludwig's musical comedy Crazy For You. This new production will be directed by Signature Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's West Side Story, La Cage Aux Folles) with choreography by Tony Award nominee Denis Jones (Broadway's Holiday Inn, Honeymoon in Vegas). Crazy for You will run from November 7, 2017 - January 14, 2018 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre.

With its emphasis on both 1960s psychedelic rock music and the Three Stooges, it would seem the latest offering at the Round House Theatre was tailored precisely for my taste.

The Burbank International Film Festival today announced official program selections for the 9th Annual edition of the festival set for Wednesday, September 6th, through Sunday, September 10th, 2017. 

The Keegan Theatre concludes its 20th Anniversary season with the Washington DC premiere of the heart-warming musical BIG FISH, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August. Co-directed with precision by Christina A. Coakley and Susan Marie Rhea, Keegan's PARADE keeps the staging simple and imaginative, cutting away clutter and using only the barest of props and scenic elements to help the story unfold. No one who has seen previous Keegan musicals, such as HAIR, CABARET, or AMERICAN IDIOT could be surprised by the quality of this rendering of PARADE; I fully expect this production to be recognized multiple times when the next round of Helen Hayes Awards comes around.

PARADE is a stirring musical about a miscarriage of justice in early 20th-century Georgia, when a Jewish outsider was wrongly accused of murder.
