"One Night For One Drop, Imagined By Cirque Du Soleil," the one-night-only soiree to benefit One Drop, features once-in-a-lifetime performances. This year, audiences around the globe can experience this exclusive event when CBS will premiere "One Night For One Drop, Imagined By Cirque Du Soleil, brought to you by Colgate" on the CBS Television Network on March 16.

Every child knows his melodies. You will normally only hear this about rock stars. However, Danny Elfman is a composer of film music. Yet, who does not know how to whistle the theme from The Simpsons? Or the driving sound of Beetlejuice devised by Elfman in 1988, which became a hallmark for the comedy-fantasy film genre and for video games. Elfman provided the film score for nearly all movies directed by Tim Burton, invented the cinematic sound for Spider Man and Men in Black and came up with the main theme for Desperate Housewives. Hailing from Los Angeles and already a member of an avant-garde ensemble by the age of 19, Elfman has established himself as a fixture among the greatest film composers alongside Hans Zimmer or John Williams. However, among the soundtrack masters Elfman stands out for the distinctive character he lends his scores. With him, tubas and trombones play at a breakneck speed and violins are put through Paganini-like paces. And every soundtrack has its own unique idea which captivates the imagination of moviegoers over and over again.

Following the success of the first three sets of Ten Pieces, BBC Music has announced the launch of Ten Pieces Trailblazers for the 19/20 academic year.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra performs the world premiere of prolific Grammy-, Emmy- and Academy Award-nominated composer James Newton Howard's Concerto for Orchestra & Cello, a LACO commission, led by Conductor Laureate Jeffrey Kahane on Saturday, March 23, 8 pm, at the Alex Theatre, and Sunday, March 24, 2019, 7 pm, at Royce Hall. Newton Howard's work, underwritten by and dedicated to Maurice Marciano, was written for and spotlights Principal Cello Andrew Shulman. Kahane also leads Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14, conducting from the keyboard, and Symphony No. 36, 'Linz.' LACO Principal Timpani/Percussion Wade Culbreath takes center stage on marimba for Gabriella Smith's Riprap for marimba and strings.

CBS will premiere the new entertainment special ONE NIGHT FOR ONE DROP: IMAGINED BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, brought to you by COLGATE, Saturday, March 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. This is the first time that this special charity performance will be televised. Wunderkind composer-producer-multi-instrumentalist and Decca Records artist JACOB COLLIER has announced Australian and New Zealand dates for his global Djesse Tour. The British artist will impress with back-to-back nights at Melbourne Recital Centre on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August, before playing his debut New Zealand shows at Auckland's The Powerstation on Monday 2 September and Wellington's Opera House on Wednesday 4 September. QPAC follows, performing as part of Brisbane Festival on Friday 6 September, closing with a night at the iconic Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Saturday 7 September.

Today, two-time Grammy nominated DJ and Producer Steve Aoki and multi-platinum Norwegian DJ and Producer Alan Walker team up to drop re-envisioned track, “Are You Lonely” featuring ISÀK. The instrumental and lyrical melody are based on the original “Lonely” release that came out at the end of last year on Alan Walker's album, now reimagined with new lyrics, arrangement and performance.

Playhouse Square will present a special performance of Disney's THE LION KING for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorders and other sensory, social and cognitive challenges or issues and their families on Saturday, August 31 at 1:30 p.m. This marks the first-ever sensory-friendly performance of a touring Broadway show in Cleveland. Playhouse Square has previously presented sensory-friendly performances as part of the Children's Theater Series presented by University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's.

In addition to Zimmer's exclusive renditions, One Night for One Drop also will welcome celebrated Strip headliner Blue Man Group, internationally recognized choreographers Andrew Winghart and Alexander Ekman, and world-renowned creatives Keone and Mari, who all orchestrated breathtaking pieces to artistically echo this year's inspirational theme of man and nature.

On March 15th, the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin will celebrate their 20th anniversary and the release of their new Signum recording, Perpetual Twilight, with a performance at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Under the artistic direction of Desmond Earley, the Choral Scholars has become Ireland's leading collegiate choral ensemble.

Casting has been announced for the premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING at The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. THE LION KING will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31.

Ever at the forefront of entertainment and continuing to break down the walls outside of dance music, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike once again showcase their heavyweight pull after being drafted in to provide the sound for the first official gameplay trailer of the latest in the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat 11. Their 2018 track with The Bassjackers 'The Jungle', originally released via Smash the House, provided the soundbed for the first glimpse of the latest instalment in the long-standing blockbuster game, which is set for release 23rd April.

Casting has been announced for the return engagement of Disney's The Lion King in the Fox Cities. The Lion King will leap onto the Fox Cities P.A.C. stage Thursday, Feb. 7 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, Feb. 24.
