Lakeshore Records is set to release 1660 Vine—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally November 11 featuring original songs by twenty-something songwriters with music supervision David Lawrence and Faye Greenberg. The Entertainment Community Fund will be the lead seller of a select number of tickets to the upcoming 25th anniversary celebration of The Lion King on Broadway. Now, audiences will have the opportunity to be part of the celebration as this musical theater phenomenon marks its 25 years on Broadway at this special anniversary performance.

The release of this re-imagined hit is accompanied by a new version of the “Bones” music video shot by Jason Koenig and edited by the band’s longtime collaborator Matt Eastin. The Salt Lake City premiere of Disney’s The Lion King opened on Friday, September 30 at 7:30pm at the Eccles Theater for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Sunday, October 23.  In Salt Lake City, The Lion King will play Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30pm, Thursday, Sept. 29 and Thursday, Oct. 20 at 2pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 1:00pm and 6:30pm.  

The Lion King will kick off its 25th anniversary celebration this November. While two Broadway juggernauts have previously reached this milestone, The Lion King marks several historic firsts.  Never before has a show in its 25th year been playing in so many productions around the world simultaneously and placed in the Top 5 grossing Broadway shows.

The North American tour of Disney’s The Lion King will welcome Peter Hargrave, Nick LaMedica and Khalifa White as Scar, Zazu and Nala, respectively. The new cast members will begin performances in Salt Lake City at The Eccles Theater, where the award-winning musical will play a four-week return engagement from Thursday, September 29 through Sunday, October 23, 2022.  LaMedica and White begin performances on Thursday, September 29, while Hargrave debuts on Thursday, October 13.
