Disney’s The Lion King continues to reign across North America with a record-breaking, sold-out premiere engagement in Greensboro. The award-winning musical broke two records at the venue during the week ending March 6, 2022: highest-grossing week with a gross of $1,958,506 and the highest one-week attendance, with 23,040 guests seeing the show.

By popular demand, Disney's The Lion King will return to Salt Lake City for the first time since its triumphant premiere engagement in March/April of 2017, where the production played a sold-out run at the Eccles Theater. This exclusive four-week return engagement at the Eccles Theater begins Thursday, September 29, 2022 and plays through Sunday, October 23, 2022. The public on-sale for individual tickets to The Lion King will be announced at a later date.

I felt like [composing] just felt way more fulfilling than it did performing everyday. I always felt performing had so much pressure, a lot of anxiety centered around interpretation, just the overall performing in front of audiences, while composing is a lot more personal and solitary, which just worked for my personality.
