Deborah Cox-Led THE BODYGUARD Musical to Make North Texas Debut

Dallas Summer Musicals and Performing Arts Fort Worth have announced a co-presentation of the first U.S. national tour hit musical THE BODYGUARD, to play at the Music Hall at Fair Park July 18-30, 2017. This sensational production will then head over to Fort Worth, where it will play at Bass Performance Hall August 1-6, 2017.

Bill Cosby's Case Ends in Mistrial

Bill Cosby, one of America's most iconic family television figures, rocked the nation when he was charged with sexual assault. He was taken to trial in Pennsylvania, where Variety reports the case ended today in a mistrial.

Tony Talk: Best Featured Actress in a Play, Cynthia Nixon!

Cynthia Nixon has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for Lillian Hellman'S The Little Foxes. This marks Ms. Nixon's fourth Tony nomination and second win. She previously won the Tony for 2006's RABBIT HOLE. She was also nominated for 2012's WIT and 1995's INDISCRETIONS. 

A Conversation with Cathy Burns of the Lyric Theatre Singers

Cathy Burns was born and raised in Dorval, a suburb just outside Montreal, the fifth of seven children. She attended John XXIII High School in Dorval, which was known for it's excellent Drama Department. All of her siblings went through the John VIII Drama Department and excelled, most receiving special recognition, 'a Burns tradition.'
