Quintessence Theatre Group continues its season with a classic musical and a holiday treat for the entire family. This holiday season they are presenting the two-piano version of My Fair Lady in Mt. Airy.

Lantern Theater Company announced today that its record-breaking 2016/17 season closing production of The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord will extend its run to meet audience demand and will now close on Sunday, July 9, 2017. The following performances have been added:

Reggae Legend, Beres Hammond, known for his distinctive brand of 'lover's rock', makes his debut at the Capitol Theatre on Friday, August 4 at 8 pm.  Tickets go on sale Friday, June 2 at 10 am.

Quintessence concludes its sixth season of progressive classic theatre with the Devil and Saints Repertory: Shaw's SAINT JOAN presented in rotating repertory with Christopher Marlowe's DOCTOR FAUSTUS. An eleven actor repertory ensemble, comprised of Quintessence's best and lead by directors Rebecca Wright and Alexander Burns, will bring to life Shaw and Marlowe's masterworks and continue to establish Quintessence's brand of epic classic theatre for 21st century Philadelphians. On Monday, September 21, 2015 The Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 recipients at its annual event. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

The Cape Playhouse follows its sold-out run of My Fair Lady with the 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Christopher Durang's laugh-out-loud comedy, directed by Shear Madness director and co-writer, Bruce Jordan, opens tonight, August 11, and runs through August 22 only.
