BroadwayWorld has just learned that The Cher Show will begin recording a cast album this weekend. A release date has not yet been announced.

Tedeschi Trucks Band, the unstoppable, Grammy-winning 12-piece musical juggernaut led by husband and wife Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi, have announced their new album 'Signs', out February 15th on Snakefarm Records / Fantasy Records in the UK.

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros will embark on a 20-date U.S. tour kicking off February 28 inIthaca, NY and running through March 30 in Charleston, SC. The trio, featuring Weir,Don Was and Jay Lane, return to the road following a successful run of sold-out dates in Fall, 2018 that saw them performing the songs of Grateful Dead and more. “This is more fun than a frog in a glass of milk,” Weir says of touring with Wolf Bros, “Don is all over his upright, and Jay needs to somehow be kept in line at times, but it's all falling together nicely.” See below for a complete list of tour dates.

BroadwayCon has announced today that the new bio musical The Cher Show has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 MainStage lineup. As part of the Spotlight series, the panel will feature cast members STEPHANIE J. BLOCK (Star), TEAL WICKS (Lady), MICAELA DIAMOND (Babe), JARROD SPECTOR (Sonny Bono), MICHAEL BERRESSE (Bob Mackie/Robert Altman/Frank), MICHAEL CAMPAYNO (Rob Camilletti/Lee), and MATTHEW HYDZIK (Gregg Allman/John Southall) on Friday, January 11, at 4:15 p.m.

While the superstar does not appear in the show herself, she has been known to take on a showtune or two in the past. In honor of The Cher Show's opening tonight, a show that traces the life and music of Cher herself, I thought I would look back at the best of her twitter legacy! I've picked some of my favorite Cher tweets that prove why she's not only a pop queen, but a twitter queen too!

This December, City Winery New York and City Winery Nashville will be opening their doors to collect unused and unwanted musical instruments and equipment in good and working condition to donate to two fantastic causes working toward a better future for youth growing up in challenging circumstances and conflict zones. The amnesty is being organized in partnership with award-winning charity, In Place of War and Ronnie Scott's Charitable Foundation. All instruments, equipment and monetary donations will benefit Cultura y Libertad located in Medellín, Colombia and The Haven, located in South Bronx NYC (more information below).
