When it comes to works by Stephen Sondheim, the music is everything, and the Berkshire Theatre Group does not let us down.

This year the Lilly Awards will celebrate women of distinction in musical theater in a special cabaret at West Bank Cafe (407 W 42nd Street, NYC), following the awards ceremony, which is set for Monday, June 2, at Playwrights Horizons. The cabaret will feature Kelli O'Hara, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Rebecca Luker, Kate Baldwin, Kenita Miller, The Broadway Boys, Graham Rowat, Katie Thompson, Lauren Pritchard, Taylor Noble, Jay Armstrong Jonson, The Skivvies (Lauren Molina & Nick Cearley) and Jason Robert Brown.

Acclaimed for her work in the recent Broadway musical Big Fish, the groundbreaking off-Broadway musical Giant and her breakout performance in the 2009 Broadway revival of Finian's Rainbow, Kate Baldwin offered her first solo concert program in NYC in three years at 54 Below earlier this week, from May 15 through yesterday, May 17. Symphony Space's free signature event, Wall to Wall, took up the theme with Wall to Wall Cabaret on Saturday, May 3. The lineup of nearly 50 performers was a veritable roll call of cabaret icons and rising stars, including Kate Baldwin,Klea Blackhurst, Barbara Carroll, Bill Charlap + Sandy Stewart, Barbara Cook, Judy Gold, Julie Halston, Ute Lemper, Lypsinka, Taylor Mac, Andrea Marcovicci, Marilyn Maye,Andrea McArdle, Jane Monheit, Steve Ross, Billy Stritch, and many more. James Naughton served as the evening's Master of Ceremonies. The distinguished house band for the evening was Russ Kassoff on piano, John Arbo on bass, and John Redsecker on drums.

Berkshire Theatre Group has announced additional casting for A Little Night Music. Four-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Gregg Edelman will play the role of Fredrik Egerman and Emmy Award winner and two-time Tony Award nominee Penny Fuller will play the role of Madame Armfeldt for BTG's 2014 summer musical. Ethan Heard, who directed BTG's 2013 hit murder mystery The Cat and the Canary, will direct Stephen Sondheim's award-winning musical which also features Tony Award and Drama Desk nominee Kate Baldwin, internationally-acclaimed vocalist and actress Maureen O'Flynn, and Broadway and television actor Graham Rowat.

Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) presents the new musical ARLINGTON by Victor Lodato and Polly Pen, directed by Carolyn Cantor (THE GREAT GOD PAN, AFTER THE REVOLUTION). ARLINGTON stars Alexandra Silber(MASTER CLASS on Broadway with Tyne Daly, THE WOMAN IN WHITE) as Sara Jane, a young wife who valiantly tries to remain hopeful while her husband is away at war, despite a growing concern that something is not quite right. This new music-theatre piece is a stirring and powerful work that explores complex questions about history, identity and power as it takes us deeper into the storm stirring beneath Sara Jan's sunny exterior.

Berkshire Theatre Group is pleased to announce Tony Award and Drama Desk nominated actress Kate Baldwin, and husband, Broadway and television actor Graham Rowat in the roles of Countess Charlotte Malcolm and Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm for BTG's 2014 summer musical, Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music.

Bronx Bombers, a new American play by Eric Simonson, is produced on Broadway by Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo, and directed by Eric Simonson. MAMMA MIA!, the global smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, will transfer from the Winter Garden Theatre to the Broadhurst Theatre this fall. BroadwayWorld has conformed that the show will play its final performance at the Winter Garden on October 19. Peformances will begin at the Broadhurst on November 2.
