CHERIE - MY STRUGGLE Transfers to Hen & Chickens Theatre

Invertigo Dance Theatre's FORMULAE & FAIRY TALES Makes World Premiere at The Broad Stage

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents the world premiere of Invertigo Dance Theatre's Formulae & Fairy Tales on September 13 & 14 at 7:30 pm. Formulae & Fairy Tales casts the life of Alan Turing, mathematical genius and World War II codebreaker, into the Technicolor© and mythologized ideas of his favorite film, Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, placing the world of mathematics, artificial intelligence, and cryptography onto a vivid, twisted fairy-tale palette.

Full Cast Announced For Peter Morgan's THE AUDIENCE

With SS Mendi, a co-production with Isango Ensemble, opening this week at Royal Opera House, Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Samuel Hodges, today announces the full cast for a new staging of Peter Morgan's The Audience. Samuel Hodges directs Lizzie Hopley as Margaret Thatcher and Bobo MacDonald, Paul Kemp as all other Prime Ministers, Sharon Singh as The Equerry and Fay Burwell and Maddie Farmer share the role of Young Elizabeth, joining the previously announced Faye Castelow as Queen Elizabeth II. The production opens on 30 May, with previews from 24 May, and runs until 22 June.

South Jersey Arts Fest Music Line-Up Announced

The first weekend in June, the beautiful countryside of South Jersey will ignite with lively entertainment at South Jersey ARTS FEST. On Saturday June 2nd, Adam Travis and the Soul will open the mainstage at 1:00pm, followed by traditional Spanish dance troupe Alborado Spanish Dance Theatre, unique cooking and spoken-word poetry duo Adobe Fish Sauce, and singer-songwriter Joe Crookston. Balkan brass band West Philadelphia Orchestra closes the mainstage leaving the audience wanting more... And for those who indeed want more, overnight guests can participate in an evening campfire with an intimate concert with Joe Crookston.

BMCC Gala Features Award Winning Actor Liev Schreiber, Chieh Huang And Loretta Lee

Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) and the BMCC Foundation will host the 2018 Gala, Invest in a Future: Empower Success, on Tuesday, May 15 at Cipriani, 25 Broadway in lower Manhattan. Cocktails are at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner and program starting at 7 p.m.   This year's Special Guest Star Honoree is Liev Schreiber, Tony and Emmy Award-winning actor, producer and director.

stufffOn this day in 2015, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren returned to Broadway with a stunning portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan's The Audience, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry. The production nabbed two Tony Awards, one for Mirren in the Leading Actress in a Play category and the other for Featured Actor in a Play, taken home by Richard McCabe for his portrayal of Harold Wilson.

Shadow Lawn Stage Set to Present ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE This July

Before Loretta and before Dolly, there was Patsy - Patsy Cline, whose hits like 'Crazy' and 'Sweet Dreams' heralded the cross-over of country music and pop. This summer, Shadow Lawn Stage, the professional theatre in residence at Monmouth University, will present Ted Swindley's ode to her: Always, Patsy Cline. The show will run for two weeks only, on the Monmouth campus, July 6 through July 16.
