RespectAbility, a nonprofit organization fighting stigmas and advancing opportunities for people with disabilities, announces a new partnership with Hollywood, Health & Society (HH&S), a project of the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center. The partnership will help educate, inform and support the success of the movie/TV industry in its work to ensure that people with disabilities are included on both sides of the camera in the stories that Hollywood tells. HH&S provides entertainment industry professionals with accurate and timely information for storylines on health, safety and national security. Like RespectAbility, HH&S recognizes the profound impact that entertainment media have on individual knowledge and behavior – ultimately impacting society and lives at large.

A who's who of film and television stars will perform Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in an intimate theatrical setting for four benefit performances only on April 30, May 1, 6 & 7 at 8pm, at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Produced and directed by Sheena Metal for Ensemble Studio Theatre Los Angeles, all proceeds will benefit V-Day (vday.org), A Global Movement to End Violence Against Women and Girls, and protect.org, a national pro-child, anti-crime association committed to building a powerful, nonpartisan force for the protection of children from abuse, exploitation and neglect.
The Hollywood Museum will once again proudly present the annual "Celebration of Entertainment Awards" exhibit, which will include nominees and winners from this season's entertainment awards shows. Featured in this exhibit are costumes, props, posters and iconic images from current nominated and award winning film and television shows including Trumbo, The Danish Girl, Peanuts, The Big Short, Inside Out, Brooklyn, as well as Orange is the New Black, The Good Wife, Walking Dead, Mad Men, Transparent and House of Lies, to name a few.

On Saturday, August 10th, 2013 Project Angel Food hosted its annual Angel Awards where the non-profit recognized the philanthropic accomplishments of award-winning actress Jane Lynch, star of FOX's GLEE and host of NBC's new hit "Hollywood Game Night," and Food network staple, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. With nearly 400 guests in attendance, it was a night to celebrate and many of Hollywood's brightest turned out to show their support for the evening's honorees and the organization which prepares and delivers over 12,000 nutritious meals every week to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Los Angeles County.
