The Tudor City Greens concert series will present 'A Night at the Opera: Vocal and Instrumental Classics' on August 3 at 6pm, cabaretexchange.com reports. The concert will be hosted by Raissa Katona Bennett, whose credits include THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and CHESS.

Audiences will be whisked away to 1960s Baltimore when Pittsburgh CLO presents Hairspray July 20 - August 1 at the Benedum Center. Adapted for the stage from John Water's 1988 film, Hairspray ran on Broadway for over six years and has since become a toe-tapping hit all over the world.

Sydney Theatre Company, Artists Repertory Theatre and Commonwealth Bank present Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill 29 June - 1 August 2010. Opening Night 3 July 2010 at 7.30pm Sydney Theatre, 22 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay. Then touring to Portland, Oregon, USA, from 13 to 29 August 2010.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its Spring/Summer 2010 season with the return of pop star and Tony-nominated actress, ORFEH on Monday, August 30.

HGTV has ordered 26 additional episodes of Dear Genevieve, the popular weekly HGTV series featuring designer Genevieve Gorder. Produced by Leopard Films of New York, the show delves into viewer-submitted emails that request Gorder's expert advice. Each week she demonstrates the answers, in-person, for one lucky online user who submitted his or her design dilemma to http://HGTV.com/deargenevieve. Genevieve then offers solutions for common design pitfalls to help homeowners rekindle the passion for their homes. Dear Genevieve airs on the network Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In addition to her series, Gorder also currently appears as a judge in the fifth season of HGTV Design Star.

Last night, July 26, the Town Hall hosted ALL SINGIN' ALL DANCIN,' an exhilarating extravaganza of song and dance directed and choreographed by Jeffrey Denman (YANK!, WHITE CHRISTMAS). Inspired by the legendary Broadway dance of The Astaires, Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson, Gower Champion, Bob Fosse, and Jerome Robbins, the show consisted of original choreography created exclusively for the concert and was set to some of the greatest show music ever written including 'Slaughter on Tenth Avenue' and 'Cell Block Tango.' Karen Akers and the cast of the final concert of the Town Hall Summer Broadway Festival will perform on July 26th in ALL SINGIN' ALL DANCIN', directed and choreographed by Jeffry Denman (YANK!). The 4th Annual Summer Broadway Festival created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, is presented on three consecutive Monday nights in July at 8PM

The American Theatre Network is proud to announce the launch of Great Entertainers on Broadway, a new summer series of live performances by some of today's most talented and well known stage, television and cabaret entertainers. The series will be presented in late July and early August at the Times Square Arts Center (TSAC) in the heart of New York City's world famous theatre district.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater is pleased to announce the casts of the six final readings for the 2010 season, including new works by Eve Ensler, Romulus Linney & Eleanor Cooney, Steven Sater & Duncan Sheik, Kate Walbert, Patricia Wettig, and Jennifer Westfeldt (screenplay), as well as a special workshop based on Walton Jones' 1940's RADIO HOUR, directed by Mark Linn-Baker.

Viagara Falls, a new comedy by Lou Cutell and Joao Machado, opened this week at the Little Shubert Theatre. Presented by Stanley Browne, John Finocchio and SJ Productions, Inc., Viagara Falls features a trio of TV, stage and film veterans: Bernie Kopell ('The Love Boat'), Lou Cutell (original Broadway production of Little Me) and Teresa Ganzel ('The Tonight Show,' 'Teachers Only'). 'So what are you seeing next?' is a question I'm frequently asked and every year around this time when I answer, 'Broadway's Rising Stars.  It's a concert at Town Hall with recent college and theatre school graduates singing showtunes,' I often get that look of pity that presumes that sitting through stuff like this is the price I pay for getting comps to see Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch in A Little Night Music.

Karen Akers will perform her new show 'Dancing on the Ceiling' at the Oak Room Supper Club at New York's Algonquin Hotel from September 14 through October 23, the Algonquin has announced on its official website.

There's something very endearing about watching a couple of old pros like Bernie Kopell and Lou Cutell exercise their finely tuned comedic chops as a pair of elderly widowers looking for a night of excitement; especially when that excitement comes in the form of Teresa Ganzel, who displays ample comic skills herself as the shapely blonde goodtime girl with a heart of gold.  Add another actor and this trio could deliver a very enjoyable production of The Sunshine Boys.  But alas, the vehicle they ride into the Little Shubert, Viagara Falls, is an anaemic sex comedy that wastes their talents and the audience's patience.

Students from AMDA, CAP21, Julliard, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Melon, Marymount and The New School made their Broadway debut on the stage of The Town Hall last night, July 19, at the 4th Annual Summer Broadway Festival, created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall.
