The heart of London's tap dance scene, The London Tap Jam, is hosting the Official Tap Dance UK Launch Party, and everyone's invited!

After yet another hugely successful year of the much-loved Arts Centre Melbourne Morning Melodies concerts, the 2019 program will dazzle audiences with a stellar line-up of musical theatre, opera, jazz and dance artists. This coming year, the feel-good one hour concerts held each month at Hamer Hall will celebrate our very own Australian performers, including Rhonda Burchmore, Rachael Beck, Michael Cormick and Rohan Browne.

Great Performances on PBS will present more of the Great White Way's brightest stars with a new "Broadway's Best" lineup premiering Fridays, November 2-23 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings).

Great Performances "Broadway's Best" will roll out nationwide on PBS beginning Friday, November 2 at 9pm with the U.S. broadcast premiere of the extraordinary An American in Paris The Musical, followed by the debut of another beloved classic, Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music on Friday, November 9 at 9pm (check local listings).

Obie Award winner Metropolitan Playhouse brings Robert Ardrey's documentary play to the stage for its first New York revival.  The limited run from November 9 to December 9, 2018, will be at the Playhouse home at 220 E 4th Street.  Alex Roe directs.

From creator/director Tim Janis comes "Buttons: A New Musical Film." This heartwarming, family-friendly feature takes audiences on a journey to discover that sometimes believing can be the greatest adventure of all!

Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the cast of the world premiere of GAME ON , November 9, 2018 - January 27, 2019 at the CLO Cabaret. GAME ON is the second musical to be given a world premiere from Pittsburgh CLO's inaugural SPARK festival, which showcased musicals designed to cultivate the next generation of small-cast shows that will thrive in small venues around the country. GAME ON is written by Pittsburgh CLO alums Marcus Stevens and David Dabbon. Asolo Rep proudly kicks off its 60th season with a highly imaginative production of Meredith Willson's Tony Award-winning exuberant masterpiece THE MUSIC MAN. Directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), this tap dancing-infused production stars legendary Broadway song and dance man Noah Racey as Harold Hill. Calhoun and Racey previously collaborated on the smash hit world premiere of Noah Racey's Pulse at Asolo Rep in 2013. The perfect family holiday outing, THE MUSIC MAN begins previews on November 13, opens November 17 and runs through December 29 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

An American icon comes home.  During the early years of his career, American composer, conductor and arranger Henry Mancini and his family lived not far from where California State University, Northridge campus now stands.  On Saturday, October 13 at 8pm, Mancini's music comes home to Northridge as The Soraya presents Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini.  Starring Monica Mancini with special guest three-time Tony nominated Joshua Henry, Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini features Gregg Field as Music Director and Chris Walden conducting the New West Symphony.

When I was a little girl, the channels in Sweden (SVT) used to send movies on Sunday afternoon and in summertime they showed rain movies if it was raining. There were black and white Swedish or American films, but occasionally they showed some beautiful musical films in technicolor. Beautifully colorful films, with artists like Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. On the town was one of the old musical film which now has opening night at the Culture House in Spira. It is the first time it will be played in Skandinavia. Camilla Thulin has created beautiful, colorful dresses which takes you back to that time and gives you that technicolor feeling that spreads joy and a feeling that life is wonderful and everything will be alright. The clothes are really a delight to the eye. It is the women's dresses that represent the colorful element as the men, basically, only sailors in white sailor suits. However the white suits highlight all color.

Hershey Area Playhouse is proud to present, Inherit the Wind, an American play by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, which debuted in 1955. The story fictionalizes the 1925 Scopes 'Monkey' Trial as a means to discuss the then-contemporary McCarthy trials.

Taped during the 2017 London engagement, the Christopher Wheeldon directed and choreographed Tony-winning musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS comes to movie theaters in the United States on September 20 and 23. The live capture, distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, features the original Broadway stars in the critically acclaimed musical, which is inspired by the Oscar-winning 1951 MGM film of the same title. To get the scoop on the musical and the film, we chatted with Wheeldon about it.

Going strong after more than 45 years, Grammy Award winner The Manhattan Transfer, with tenor vocals from Kean University alumnus Alan Paul '71, will captivate Kean Stage audiences with their distinctive four-part harmonies at Enlow Recital Hall at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 30.

An American in Paris was first produced as a musical film by powerhouse studio MGM in 1951. It starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron. It won 6 Academy Awards including Best Picture. It remains one of the great Hollywood musicals of all time. Flash forward sixty-four years and it is adapted for the Broadway stage and wins 4 Tony Awards. It has a great love story and perfect score with memorable songs including "I Got Rhythm," "S'Wonderful," and "Tra La La."

Street dance superstars 'Flawless' announce a UK tour of epic proportions to mark the conclusion of their recent world tour.

Matthew Morrison couldn't be more 'Glee'-ful about launching Bay Area Cabaret's 15th Anniversary Season on Sept. 30 at the world-famous Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. 'I love places that have so much history,' says the Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee. Among the celebrated singers who've sung there: Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Marlene Dietrich, Peggy Lee and Tina Turner. And in 1961, Tony Bennett first performed 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco' there, which is especially apt since the Fairmont sits high upon Nob Hill, 'where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars.'

There is a legend that once every hundred years in the Scottish highlands the village of Brigadoon awakens and its awakening enthralls with its mystery, delightful characters, and a love story that transcends time. Directed by Bob Kelly, Candlelight's Brigadoon features Andy Boettcher and Jared Calhoun as adventurers Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas who find themselves lost in the highlands when Brigadoon comes to life. Sophie Jones plays Fiona MacLaren who is at once smitten with Tommy, Analisa Wall is the feisty Meg Brockie who sets her eye on Jeff Douglas.
