NORFOLK & NORWICH FESTIVAL 2026 Full Programme Announced

Artistic Director & Chief Executive, Daniel Brine, has announced the full programme for the 2026 Norfolk & Norwich Festival. One of the oldest arts festivals in England, having been established in 1772, Norfolk & Norwich Festival presents world-class international performances alongside emerging talent and homegrown East Anglian artists in an expansive multi-arts programme featuring theatre, dance, music, film, literature and visual arts.

The archives of The Ed Sullivan Show have opened again to share rare vintage performances by Louis Armstrong. As dear friends who traveled together, were both born in the same year (1901), and had a great mutual respect, it is believed that Ed Sullivan himself lent these clips to Louis Armstrong and Universal Music Enterprises. #IAMWARRIOR Music Event Comes to the Jazz Café

Awarding-winning jazz organisation, TOMORROW'S WARRIORS are combating the threat of closure of their acclaimed Young Artist Development Programme with a crowdfunding campaign of live music events. To kick off the New Year the exciting #IAMWARRIOR appeal will see Soweto Kinch compare an evening showcasing the finest talent in UK Jazz. The event takes place at the Jazz Cafe in Camden, London on Saturday 12 January from 7pm - 10pm.

Gary Crosby presents the sensational Jazz Jamaica All Stars with special guests Brinsley Forde (Aswad), Noel McKoy and rising vocal stars, Dem Three. THE TROJAN STORY is a spectacular live concert chronicling 50 years of the legendary label and artists of Trojan Records. There will be three performances - today 20 September, Royal Festival Hall; Saturday 29 September, Brighton Dome and Saturday 17 November, Hull City Hall (part of the Hull Jazz Festival).

Louis Armstrong House Celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month, April 2013

Louis Armstrong House Museum is celebrating Jazz Appreciation month in style this April. 85 years ago, Louis Armstrong recorded one of his all-time masterpieces, 'West End Blues,' one of the most important records in jazz history. For Jazz Appreciation Month, the Museum's historic house tours will feature an ultra rare recording of Louis Armstrong performing 'West End Blues' live at Freedomland in 1961. This performance was recently donated to the Museum's Archives by the son of Freedomland sound engineer Peter Denis. Previously unissued and not in any discographies, it will be featured only during Jazz Appreciation Month! This recording compliments the Museum's current exhibit, Louis Armstrong at Freedomland that closes April 30, 2012.
