A new show celebrating the life and musical talent of legendary American singer songwriter Paul Simon has opened at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019. Something About Simon has been created by Liverpool singer songwriter Gary Edward Jones, who has spent three years crafting the show, which he describes as a a?oereal labour of lovea??.
Blue Plaque To Be Unveiled At Home Of Wirral Writer Helen Forrester

In celebration of Helen Forrester's 100th birthday, a blue plaque is to be erected outside the late author's family home in Hoylake, Wirral. The unveiling takes place next spring and will coincide with the opening of a national theatre tour of By The Waters Of Liverpool, a new period drama based on her multi-million selling autobiography.

The world premiere of the new stage play By The Waters Of Liverpool opened at the Liverpool Empire on Wednesday night. The play is the long-awaited sequel to Helen Forrester's much-loved Twopence To Cross The Mersey - it is the first time the book has been brought to life on stage.
