STAGE DOOR PLAYERS (SDP) opens its 44th season with the thrilling drama, Dial M For Murder, by Frederick Knott on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Theatre's home in the North Dekalb Cultural Arts Center at 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody.

Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation of Wait Until Dark, written by Frederick Knott, plays October 19 October 29, 2017 at the Kam & James Morris Theatre in Lakeway.

The Lakewood Playhouse will present the opening show of its 79th Season: the suspenseful, high-energy psychological thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK by Frederick Knott. Performances will be September 8th through October 8th, 2017. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Wait Until Dark first opened on Broadway in 1966, but many know it from the 1967 Hollywood film, where the lead role of Susy went to Audrey Hepburn, who was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for the role.

The UK tour of Frederick Knott's thriller, WAIT UNTIL DARK, starring Jack Ellis (Bad Girls) as Mike, Oliver Mellor (Coronation Street) as Sam Henderson and Karina Jones as Susy, with Graeme Brookes as Croker, Tim Treloar as Roat, Shannon Rewcroft as Gloria and Thomas McCarron as Policeman, opened at Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne on 24 August. Acclaimed theater, film and television director Matt Shakman has been named Artistic Director of the Geffen Playhouse, the non-profit theater's Board of Directors announced today.

The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to present the OPENING SHOW of our 79th SEASON: The Suspenseful, High-Energy Psychological Thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK by Frederick Knott. 

Set amidst the social turbulence of 1960s London, the play follows the story of Susy, a blind woman who, left alone in her apartment, becomes the victim of an elaborate scam hatched by a group of conmen. Susy is left to fend for herself, and eventually finds a way to turn the tables on the conmen and give them a taste of life in the dark.

Graeme Brookes and Tim Treloar will play Croker and Roat respectively in Frederick Knott's thriller, WAIT UNTIL DARK. They join the previously announced Jack Ellis as Mike, Karina Jones as Susy and Oliver Mellor as Sam Henderson. Shannon Rewcroft and Thomas McCarron complete the cast as Gloria and Policeman.

Bruce Kimmel wrote, directed and starred in the cult movie hit, "The First Nudie Musical."  He also co-created the story for the hit film, "The Faculty," directed by Robert Rodriguez.  As an actor, Mr. Kimmel guest-starred on most of the long-running television shows of the 1970s.    Mr. Kimmel is a legendary Grammy-nominated producer of theatre music on CD, having produced over 180 albums. Most recently he has directed the shows L.A. Now and Then, Hit Song, The Musical, Welcome to My World, Li'l Abner, and Inside Out.  Mr. Kimmel is the author of seventeen books, many musicals, and is an award-winning songwriter. Bruce Kimmel serves as director on the Group Rep's upcoming production of Frederick Knott's mystery thriller Dial "M" for Murder which opens on the Main Stage, June 30th, at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood at the edge of the NoHo Arts District.  Written by Steve Peterson
