 The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) will present its annual Theatre Women Awards on March 27th from 1 to 3 p.m., at The Green Fig Restaurant, Yotel Hotel, 570 10th Ave, New York, NY 10036.

Jacquelyn Bell will host a free month-long educational series for Black Women interested in producing commercial theatre. The effort is to expose the demographic to the opportunities and logistics in this niche and often inaccessible career path.

T. Fellowship, in association with Columbia University School of the Arts, announces the next T. Fellow is Rachel Sussman, the seventh fellow in the one year program designed to educate and empower new creative producers. The fellow will receive a stipend of $10,000 with a $20,000 budget for the development of a new theatrical production, and will have access to courses in Columbia's MFA Theatre Management & Producing Program.

Just a year and a half ago, Tom Viertel took over the position of Executive Director at the Commercial Theatre Institute (CTI) and has had his hands full ever since. Not only is he still an active theatre producer, but he also co-owns the popular NYC cabaret venue, 54 Below.
