Previews begin tonight, Monday, November 21, 2022, for A Sherlock Carol written and directed by Mark Shanahan (The Dingdong, A Merry Little Christmas Carol; NPR’s Ghost Light Series).  The show is playing a six-week limited holiday engagement at New World Stages.

A Sherlock Carol, written and directed by Mark Shanahan, will return this holiday season at New World Stages for a six-week limited engagement. Broadway favorite Drew McVety (Billy Elliot, Spamalot) returns as the titular sleuth, with Allen Gilmore (The School for Scandal, Yale Rep’s Choir Boy) joining the company as Scrooge.

The Huntington in association with Sing Street LLC has announced an additional week of performances for the joyous new musical Sing Street, based on the hit 2016 indie film of the same title by John Carney. Sing Street is now playing at The Huntington’s Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA through October 9, 2022.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of “The Scream: A Musical Comedy Fantasy,” on Monday, June 13, at 7 p.m. The live performance will be captured on film for on-demand streaming, from Thursday, June 16 through Sunday, June 19. Monty Python will take on a new twist as Ogunquit Playhouse kicks off their very first Outdoor Season with Spamalot, the first production to play the theater’s new, 25,000-square-foot, open-air Leary Pavilion. Spamalot begins previews Wednesday, June 16, opens Friday, June 18, and runs through July 10, 2021.
