Grammy Award-winner Q-Tip has joined the team of ALI, the new musical celebrating the life and legacy of the heavyweight boxing champion and humanitarian Muhammad Ali, as Music Producer and Co-Lyricist.

Midlands-based independent producing studio China Plate today announces the shows and festivals it will present during Spring 2019. From award-winning Edinburgh Fringe hits, through a new Shakespeare adaptation for young people, to opportunities for artists to develop new work, it's going to be a busy start to the year…

Theatre Royal Stratford East's annual Musical Theatre Workshop will take place 17-28 July as 12 artists take over the building to develop 6 new musicals under the guidance of TRSE's artistic team including MT New Writing Manager Sevan Tavoukdjian and MTW facilitators Fred Carl and Robert Lee, specialist tutors from NYU's prestigious Tisch's School of the Arts which runs the world's only graduate programme focused on musical theatre writing.

4th Wall Theatre, a non union professional theatre in Bloomfield, NJ is presenting a new musical comedy, Take One, written by former SNL writer Jeff Ward. The show is being presented as part of the group's MID (Musicals-in-Development) Stage Series.

Invisible Wall Productions presents The View UpStairs - the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon and directed by Scott Ebersold - at Culture Project - The Lynn Redgrave (45 Bleecker Street). Choreography is by Al Blackstone with James Dobinson serving as Music Supervisor and Orchestrator.

California State University Long Beach (CSULB) Theatre Arts presents The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, with book, music and lyrics by Kirsten Childs and directed by Dr. Jaye Austin Williams.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) will present a reunion concert of Kirsten Childs' THE BUBBLY BLACK GIRL SHEDS HER CHAMELEON SKIN on March 30, 2015 at 7pm at 54 Below. The concert will be directed by original cast member Jerry Dixon (If/Then) with original music director Fred Carl (Miracle Brothers) leading members of the original band.

The Barn Theatre of Montville, NJ will be presenting 'Shrek the Musical'. Performances will be on May 16, 23, 24, 30, 31, June 6 and 7 at 8pm; and on May 17, 18, 25, June 1 at 2pm. Tickets are $24 (senior/student tickets are $22 on matinees only).

For her all-new 10th anniversary production, Taylor has engaged community partners and used workshops to explore and deepen the spoken word, dance and music elements in Crowns. Kathy Evans, Founder and Executive Director of the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced the fourteen musical theatre writers who will participate for the inaugural summer in July and August. The Rhinebeck Writers Retreat provides a one-week residency for a musical theatre writing team to create and refine their musical in Rhinebeck, New York.

Asia Society announces that Tony Award-winning star of Law & Order: SVU, BD Wong will lead the cast of a staged concert of 'Heading East', a Richard RodgersDevelopment Award-winning musical by Robert Lee and Leon Ko. Performances will be held in the Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium at Asia Society. Asia Society will benefit from the proceeds of the event, which is co-produced by Andrew Asnes and directed by Darren Lee.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts presents a concert featuring the music of Tommy Newman May 24. Performing in the concert will be Alison Briner, Melissa Wolfkain, Chris Critelli and James Moye. The concert is apart of the NYPL's Songbook series and is directed by John Znidarsic.
