Center Stage Jackson is opening its 2018-19 Season with The Music Man, Book, Music & Lyrics by Meredith Willson, based on a story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey.

When David Ivers was named Artistic Director at Arizona Theatre Company, he made a commitment to spotlight Arizona artists: those who live here, were born here, return to or move here or who write about Arizona or our surrounding region. 

Arizona Theatre Company (David Ivers, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) lifts the curtain on Scene in America, the theme for its 52nd season and the first reflecting Ivers' influence and impact, with Karen Zacarias' hilarious new comedy that's anything but neighborly, Native Gardens, Sept. 8-29 at the Temple of Music & Art, 330 S. Scott Ave. in Tucson.

CCT has the stage all to themselves this weekend as they close THE MUSIC MAN JR.!

Mark Linehan and Jennifer Ellis march in step in a glorious rendering of Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN to close out Reagle Music Theatre's 50th Anniversary Summer Season with a bang. Director/choreographer Susan M. Chebookjian's staging is seamless, with one production number after another showing off the ensemble's terpsichorean talent with challenging dance combinations, and Music Director Dan Rodriguez conducts a 12-piece orchestra that brings out the brio of Willson's score. The 1957 Tony Award-winning Best Musical still has lots of get up and go, with stirring marches and patter songs, romantic ballads, and a town full of characters as American as apple pie.

Broadway By the Bay, the Peninsula based award-winning musical theater company, announced today the four musicals that will make up their 2018 season. Launching the season in March 2018 will be the 1957 musical theater classic, The Music Man. Summer will kick off like a great ball of fire with the hit rock-n-roll musical Million Dollar Quartet, followed by the 70s disco-era hit Saturday Night Fever. The season will come to a close with Elton John and Tim Rice's Tony Award-winning adaptation of Verdi's AIDA. Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino just announced key casting for the 2018 season of the Stratford Festival, including Seana McKenna as Julius Caesar, Andr Sills as Coriolanus, and Daren A. Herbert as Harold Hill, the 'Music Man.'

This award winning Broadway classic is an all-American institution. The Music Man, by Meredith Wilson and Franklin Lacey, is the liveliy, funny and romantic tale of the fast-talking Harold Hill (Ian Moore) who cons the citizens of River City into buying instruments and uniforms for their children to form a marching band. But his plans are changed once he meets the town librarian, the lovely Marian Paroo (Rebecca Madeira).
