TV: FROZEN Cast Surprises Audience with Tribute to OKLAHOMA! on its 75th Anniversary

Jelani Alladin (Kristoff), Greg Hildreth (Olaf), John Riddle (Hans) and the entire cast of the new Broadway hit Frozen surprised the sold-out house at the St. James Theatre this afternoon with a tribute to Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Oklahoma!, which opened at the St. James Theatre 75 years ago today, on March 31, 1943.

The Best of Backwards: Relive the Best Moments of BC/EFA's Broadway Backwards!

What began as a small, grassroots concert performed at The Center in 2006 quickly grew into a highly anticipated event presented in Broadway's best theatres. Monday night marks the return of Broadway Backwards- Broadway's annual gender-swapped celebration of love and the LGBT community. In its 12 editions, Broadway Backwards has raised more than $3.4 million for Broadway Cares and The Center.

Strike Up The Band! From Bernstein To Carmen, THE MCCALLUM THEATRE CONCERT BAND Takes The McCallum Stage Once Again By Popular Demand

It's time to strike up the band, for our 6th annual concert by the McCallum Theatre Concert Band on Sunday, March 25, at 3:00pm. The McCallum's own Chad Hilligus will sing music by Leonard Bernstein, and virtuoso tubist John van Houten will play the haunting "Gabriel's Oboe." Plus, music from Bizet's "Carmen," "Yiddish Dances" by Adam Gorb, and marches from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and more.  And there's free ice cream for everyone after the concert! This season's McCallum Theatre Band Concert, led by McCallum President and CEO Mitch Gershenfeld (Conductor), will feature Chad Hilligus (Tenor), John Van Houten (Tuba), and Patricia Bosley (Guest Conductor). 

PDS Gypsy Awards to Honor George Chakiris and Barrie Chase, Choreography Award To Toni Basil

Academy Award and Golden Globe winning performer George Chakiris and acclaimed dancer, Barrie Chase have been named the honorees for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.  Emmy and Grammy nominated choreographer/director/singer Toni Basil will receive the organization's Choreographer's Award.  PDS' 31st Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (9876 Wilshire Blvd.) in Beverly Hills, CA.

Florence Henderson is Not Mrs. Brady Anymore

Florence Henderson was known as the quintessential American Mom, in the 1970's ABC network classic sitcom, The Brady Bunch. Ms. Henderson made her last film (she passed away in 2016) with a mom role very different from Mrs. Brady. She plays grandmother Mimi' in Bad Grandmas which debuts this week at the River Street Theatre in downtown Jaffrey.

BWW Review:Broadway's James Snyder Performs Engaging SOLILOQUY

Actor/singer James Snyder premiered his touring cabaret show Soliloquy at the Catalina Jazz Club under the prolific banner Chris Isaacson Presents Thursday July 20. Snyder is one of those handsome Broadway leading men whose magnetic appeal is greatly assisted not only by boyish charm but more importantly by an infectiously off beat sense of humor, unpredictability...and... he has one of the most beautifully powerhouse tenor/baritone voices onstage anywhere. I can only think of one or two others who fill the bill as completely well as Snyder.
