Through the lens of a rock documentary, Wasted is a brand new musical that gives an access-all-areas account of the struggles, heartbreaks and triumphs of the three Bronte sisters Charlotte, Emily, Anne, and their brother Branwell.  Brought up in a remote, poverty-stricken town in Yorkshire, without money or opportunity, they fought ill health, unrequited love and family feuds to write some of the most celebrated literature including Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

Built in 1913 as the flagship for the big time vaudeville circuit run by E.F. Albee and Martin Beck, manager of the Western Vaudeville Managers Association, the Palace was the perfect showplace for the biggest of big time vaudeville during the last two decades of its existence.

Following its record-breaking, sell-out run in London's West End and national tour, the critically-acclaimed musical Funny Girl comes to cinemas throughout the UK, featuring Sheridan Smith in her lauded starring turn as legend of stage and screen, Fanny Brice. 

The 2018 Helpmann Awards Act II was a star-studded ceremony in front of a full house at the Capitol Theatre Sydney on the set of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. The evening featured a show-stopping number in which some of the biggest stars in the game performed 'Don't Rain On My Parade' from Funny Girl. Watch the video below!

On Today, July 12, 2018 at 8 pm, Shoshana Bean from the hit Broadway musical Wicked will perform at the Michener Art Museum as part of the Broadway Cabaret series presented through PNC Arts Alive. Bean's performance is the second of three in the series, following a sold-out performance in June by Norm Lewis. Casting is now complete for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie. The new cast members are Roger Bart as Daniel 'Rooster' Hannigan, Kaylin Hedges as Annie, Ali Stroker as 'Star-to-Be,' Amir Talai as Bert Healy, Marlow Barkley as Kate, Amadi Chapata as Pepper, Noe Lynds as July, Rae Martinez as Tessie, Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja as Molly, and Olivia Zenetzis as Duffy.

 Australian playwright and composer Luke Byrneis excited to announce his original new musical Between the Sea and Sky will make its Off-Broadway debut later this summer as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's (NYMF) Next Link Project. Featuring an original book, music & lyrics by Mr. Byrne, Between the Sea and Skywill play a 5-performance run at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row beginning July 31, 2018.

Creative Cauldron's Annual Summer Cabaret and Concert Series will be held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from July 6th through September 15th at Creative Cauldron, 410 South Maple Avenue. The Summer Cabaret and Concert Series treats audiences to performances by some of the finest musical theatre talent in the Washington, DC-Metro area.

As previously announced, Netflix is now streaming a special edition of Barbra Streisand's classic movie A Star Is Born (1976). Supervising the edit, Ms. Streisand was happy to include never-before-seen footage - the scene where she first plays 'Evergreen' on the guitar for Mr. Kristofferson. To Ms. Streisand's surprise almost a year later, the song went on to win the Academy Award, the Grammy, and the Golden Globe. The other never-before-seen footage includes a rock n' roll version of the film's finale 'Watch Closely Now.'
