SSO Announces Casting for FUNNY GIRL THE MUSICAL in Concert After announcing the extraordinary line-up of leading ladies Michala Banas, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Casey Donovan, Virginia Gay, Verity Hunt-Ballard, Dami Im, Maggie McKenna, Zahra Newman, Caroline O'Connor, Queenie van de Zandt and Megan Washington who will share the role of 'Fanny Brice' on stage in FUNNY GIRL - THE MUSICAL IN CONCERT, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce the remainder of the cast.

Valerie Bader will play the role of 'Mrs Strakosh' and will be joined by RYAN GONZALES as 'Eddie Ryan'. David Whitney will play 'Florenz Ziegfeld Jr'. Joining them in the ensemble will be Leslie Bell, Nadia Coote, Matt Douglass, Danielle Everett, Todd Goddard, Nigel Huckle, James Maxfield, Laura Murphy, Thern Reynolds, Ashleigh Rubenach and Melissa Russo.

With the film celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, this special Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert will be held at the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House for three shows only from 12 to 14 July. It will be directed by Mitchell Butel and will also star Trevor Ashley, Nancye Hayes as Mrs Brice and Don Hany as Nick Arnstein.

Funny Girl, the movie, which starred Barbra Streisand as Fanny Brice, features beloved songs such as People, I'm the Greatest Star, Don't Rain on My Parade and The Music That Makes Me Dance.
