As previously announced, Netflix is now streaming a special edition of Barbra Streisand's classic movie A Star Is Born (1976). Supervising the edit, Ms. Streisand was happy to include never-before-seen footage - the scene where she first plays "Evergreen" on the guitar for Mr. Kristofferson. To Ms. Streisand's surprise almost a year later, the song went on to win the Academy Award, the Grammy, and the Golden Globe. The other never-before-seen footage includes a rock n' roll version of the film's finale "Watch Closely Now."

Streisand sat down with ET to discuss the film's re-release, as well as the new footage.

"I always wanted that last song to look and feel more rock and roll, I just didn't edit it that way at the time," Streisand tells ET. "We left it as one seven-and-a-half minute long take, which people liked. With the re-release of the film, I was able to re-edit in a more contemporary way. I think this new cut enhances the end the film, visually and emotionally."
