Mary Callanan has long been a fixture on Boston area stages and in piano bars and cabaret rooms in Provincetown. A dozen years ago, however, Broadway beckoned and the Brighton, Massachusetts, native relocated to New York. In a new interview, Billy Eichner talked about the upcoming Hollywood Bowl concert of The Lion King and his lifelong dream of performing on Broadway. On Wednesday, Eichner revealed that they had their first official rehearsal that day. 'The scope and size of it really knocked me out,' he said before adding 'If I can get through it, I think it’s going to be really fun.”

China Forbes – the glamorous voice of Portland, Oregon’s very own, world-famous “little orchestra,” Pink Martini – has released her long-journeyed album, The Road, via Heinz Records. The LP marks the first solo album for Forbes in fifteen years, and features eleven original, auto-biographical songs.
