O'Brien Entertainment has announced the new cast for its remounted production of The Snowy Day and Other Stories by Ezra Jack Keats at St. Luke's Theatre. Adapted for the stage by Jerome Hairston with music by Victor Zupanc, the show is inspired by four of Keats' most beloved stories, including the 1963 Caldecott Award-winning picture book, The Snowy Day.

Broadway In Chicago and Emerald City Theatre are delighted to announce that KEN LUDWIG'S 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS will return to Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) by popular demand for a limited engagement that runs November 3 through December 30, 2018.  Individual tickets will go on-sale on September 6, 2018. 

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) announces today due to popular demand, the Theatre for Young Audiences production of CORDUROY is being extended by one week, now running October 5 through December 16.

On Thursday, March 1, 20 families in Queens will receive a copy of the Snowy Day. This effort is to support and encourage families to read together. According to Savona Bailey-McClain, Host & Producer of the radio show State of the Arts NYC heard on WBAI, 'Snowy Day was the first book my mother bought me and my sister through the school program with Scholastic Books. We liked it so much that she went on to buy Whistle for Willie. I hope these families will enjoy the same pleasure I did as a child'.

Enjoy a fully-staged performance of Puccini's “Madama Butterfly”. This opera, which tells the tragic story of a young geisha gives up everything for a brash American naval officer, will be sung in Italian with English supertitles, and presented with a 35-piece orchestra. What perfect timing! Kudos to Nashville Children's Theatre executive artistic director Ernie Nolan and education director Alicia Lark Fuss (who does double duty as director of the play) for their impeccable midwinter choice of A Snowy Day as the venerable company's first show of 2018. That they had frigid temperatures and snowy conditions to herald the opening of A Snowy Day, playwright Jerome Hairston's adaptation of four stories by Caldecott winner Ezra Jack Keats, was indeed serendipitous, lending some of Mother Nature's authenticity to the show's launch.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) presents the world premiere of the classic children's book brought to the stage of Corduroy, adapted by Barry Kornhauser and directed by CTC's Artistic Director of 20 years, Peter C. Brosius. Mr. Kornhauser has written numerous plays premiered by CTC including Balloonacy, Reeling, Bert & Ernie, Goodnight! and Madeline and the Gypsies. CTC Company Member Dean Holt will be playing Corduroy, CTC Company Member Reed Sigmund will play the Night Watchman, Ileri Okikiolu will debut at CTC playing the role of Lisa, Lauren Davis will play Lisa's Mother and Mimi Kol-Balfour and Keegan Robinson as a student ensemble.
