42nd Street Moon Presents VERY WARM FOR MAY, Previews 5/5

42nd Street Moon's final production of the season, Very Warm for May, is the company's first show in the Jerome Kern Celebration and spotlights Kern's final Broadway score. The show previews on May 5, 6 and 7, opens on Saturday May 8 and runs through May 24 at the Eureka Theatre.

SOMETHING C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival Runs 5/27-6/27

Carly Ozard, voted 'Best Cabaret Performer 2009', presents six diverse showcases and will co-host four evenings of open mics featuring talented performers from professional Bay Area musical theatres and groups including 42nd Street Moon, Lamplighters, The SF Gay Men's Chorus and vocal artists from the local cabaret and performance oeuvre. This is part of the SOMETHING C.O.O.L. - THE SUMMER CABARET FESTIVAL, which runs MAY 27 - JUNE 27, 2010. All shows are at the Eureka Theatre - 215 Jackson St. in SF 94102.

Actor/Comedian Jamie Kennedy To Guest Star On Syfy's EUREKA 7/30

Eureka, Syfy's popular original dramedy series, has cast actor Jamie Kennedy (Ghost Whisperer, Scream trilogy), for a guest appearance on the show's fourth season. Eureka is currently being filmed on location in Vancouver, B.C. Syfy has ordered 20 episodes of the series, which will premiere July 9, 2010 at 9PM ET/PT. Kennedy joins a lineup of previously announced guest stars including Jaime Ray Newman, Matt Frewer and Wil Wheaton.

Lindsay Wagner And Tia Carrere To Guest Star On Syfy's 'WAREHOUSE 13' This Season

Warehouse 13, the most successful series in Syfy history, welcomes legendary ladies Lindsay Wagner (Bionic Woman) and Tia Carrere (Wayne's World, Relic Hunter) as upcoming guest stars. They join a line up of previously announced guest stars including Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Philip Winchester and Nolan Gerard Funk. The second season of Warehouse 13 returns this summer beginning Tuesday, July 6 on Syfy.

Know Theatre Presents Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA, 4/3-5/8

Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to announce its fourth and fifth production of the season, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, written by Tony Kushner. Angels in America will open with the first of the two part play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, on Know Theatre's mainstage April 3 and play through May 8, 2010. The second half of the production, Angels in America: Perestroika, will open April 23 and play through May 8, 2010.

Salonga and Tomita to Emcee East West Players Awards April 19

East West Players (EWP), the nation's premier Asian American theatre, happily announces Lea Salonga and Tamlyn Tomita as the Emcees of East West Players 44th Anniversary Visionary Award Dinner & Silent Auction. Also announced for the gala event are performances by Joan Almedilla, Jennifer Paz, and Jenni Selma of EWP's upcoming musical production of ROAD TO SAIGON and vocalist Ethan Le Phong. This year's honorees include previously announced Wenda Fong, Vice President of Alternative Programming for FOX and Mike Shinoda, visual artist and musician for two-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Linkin Park. Wendy Moore to Pen Novel Based on Real Life Eliza Doolittle

Wendy Moore, author of the popular novel 'Wedlock,' will pen a novel based on real life Eliza Doolittle, Sabrina Sidney, the basis for the George Bernard Shaw play Pygmalion and the hit Lerner and Lowe musical, My Fair Lady. The novel, entitled 'How to Create the Perfect Wife,' is currently in publication negotiations.

Berkeley Rep & Guthrie Take TINY KUSHNER to London, 9/1-9/25

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the Guthrie Theatre announced that their production of TINY KUSHNER is headed for London. A series of short scripts by legendary playwright Tony Kushner, TINY KUSHNER debuted at the Guthrie in May 2009 and played to acclaim at Berkeley Rep last fall. Staged by Berkeley Rep's artistic director, Tony Taccone, the production will transfer to London's Tricycle Theatre with its original cast and design team intact. The show runs from September 1 to September 25.

WWE Announces SMACKDOWN Will Begin Airing on Syfy 10/1

World Wrestling Entertainment(R) (NYSE: WWE) and Syfy announced today a multi-year agreement that brings Friday Night SmackDown(R) to the 'Imagine Greater' network beginning in October 2010. Friday Night SmackDown will premiere on its new home October 1st at 8:00 PM ET. The program, which debuted more than 10 years ago, is one of the longest-running, weekly episodic shows on television.

Syfy's CAPRICA Mid-Season Finale Sets Series Record

Culminating a premiere season of ratings growth, the Friday, March 26 season finale of Caprica set a series record by delivering 1.1 million Adults 18-49 (including Live + 7 DVR playback data). The episode, airing from 9-10pm, also scored 1.7 million total viewers, 1.16 million Adults 25-54 and a 1.3 Household rating.
