To open the festival, Daniel Craig returns in GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MURDER MYSTERY, from the surprise 2019 hit Knives Out, reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc, heading off to Greece with a new case to crack and a fresh ensemble of suspects to rattle (Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson).

The Key West Film Festival announced the recipients of its annual Golden Key Awards to be presented to screen legend Chris Cooper and Elegance Bratton, director of the upcoming release The Inspection. Past recipients of the award include Burt Reynolds, Marisa Tomei, Kimberly Peirce, Tom Skerritt, Lois Smith, Paul Verhoeven and Alan Cumming.

Starring role, Tony– and Emmy–nominated actor Jeremy Pope, The Inspection is a knockout drama based on his own experiences as a gay man in Marine Corps basic training following a decade of living on the streets. The film also stars Raúl Castillo, Bokeem Woodbine, and Gabrielle Union.

Till stars Danielle Deadwyler (Mamie Till Mobley), Jalyn Hall (Emmett Till), Frankie Faison (John Carthan), Haley Bennett (Carolyn Bryant), Sean Patrick Thomas (Gene Mobley), John Douglas Thompson (Moses Wright) and Whoopi Goldberg (Alma Carthan). Till is an emotional and cinematic film about the story of Mamie Till Mobley’s pursuit of justice.

The 10th Annual Key West Film Festival announces its official 2021 lineup including major falls films from Jane Campion, Sean Baker, Mike Mills, Pedro Almodovar and Paolo Sorrentino. More than 75 films will be shown during the 5-day festival, which runs November 17-21 and celebrates its 10th Anniversary. 

Among the highlights are Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated adaptation of Dune; Academy Award–nominated director Mamoru Hosoda’s Belle, a visually extraordinary tale about a shy teenager who becomes an online sensation as a pop star.

Sony Pictures Classics will release Parallel Mothers in theaters on December 24.

Mirroring the unpredictable story turns, Campion crafts a film of unexpected cadences and rhythms, and her daring is matched every step of the way by her extraordinary, fully immersed cast and a mercurial, destabilizing score by Jonny Greenwood. A Netflix release.

Film at Lincoln Center has announced that Joel Coen's The Tragedy of Macbeth will open the 59th New York Film Festival, making its World Premiere at Alice Tully Hall on September 24.

There are 89 Oscar nominees, including 25 winners, among the invitees.

Submissions will be accepted via FilmFreeway from April 21 through May 24, and for the duration of this window, the entry fee is $45. This fee will help fund a seasonal staff of submissions screeners as well as additional festival operations, including artist support.
