Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue, presents Chicago's home-grown version of the hilarious Broadway musical AVENUE Q, running from April 24 through June 29, 2014. Winner of the Tony 'Triple Crown' for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book in 2004, AVENUE Q is part flesh, part felt, and packed with heart. The production will be led by Jeff Award winners L. Walter Stearns (Director),Eugene Dizon (Musical Direction), and Kevin Bellie(Choreography) and features custom made puppets by Russ Walko. Check out a first look at the cast below!

The whole family will enjoy this heart-warming musical story of the first Christmas tree ship and the family who risked their lives to fill Chicago with the Christmas spirit. Hailed as 'A sacred part of a Chicago Christmas!' by The Chicago Tribune, the production features a powerful, moving story, an exquisite score of original music and traditional holiday favorites, and a company of 25 actors and musicians. The production is helmed by the Jeff-award winning team of L. Walter Stearns (Director), Eugene Dizon (Musical Director) and Brenda Didier (Choreographer). BroadwayWorld.com is proud once again to announce the nominations for the BroadwayWorld Chicago Awards, Chicago's only comprehensive, fan-voted theater award now in its 4th fabulous year. And the Bohemian Theatre Ensemble leads the way, with a whopping 15 nominations overall, including 10 for its summer production of 'Kiss of the Spider Woman.' Chicago Shakespeare Theater is next overall, with 12 nods, spread out over an impressive 7 different productions, including 'Othello: The Remix,' 'Henry VII,' 'The School for Lies' and its Shakespeare in the Parks production of 'The Comedy of Errors,' nominated as Best Theatrical Event.
