Founded in 2002 as an artists' ensemble, Little Fish Theatre presents classic and contemporary plays in an intimate setting on Centre Street in the Arts District of downtown San Pedro. With the pandemic forcing the shutdown of live theatre, Little Fish Theatre’s 2021 Virtual Season offers up a tasty serving of this year’s best short plays with Pick of the Vine.

Film producer Akanksha Prabhune has joined the Oxygen true-crime series “A Wedding and a Murder,” as associate producer. The show is now in its second season on the network.

When theatre, film and television veterans Jim Blanchette and Lisa K. Wyatt saw Esther Mira's award-winning show With My Eyes Shut at last year's Fringe, they knew they wanted to work with her. It was just a matter of finding the right material. With their dynamic in mind, Blanchette got to writing and what came out is a unique dark comedy that not only showcases two dynamo actors, but also explores a relationship that truly faces the test of time.

With My Eyes Shut will extend for its encore performance on Sunday July 22, 2018 at 7pm.  Performance will be held at Studio/Stage, 520 N Western Ave, Hollywood.

This adaptation of Shakespeare's classic tragedy has been reconceptualized to connect with the modern day #MeToo movement by offering an alternative explanation for one of its leading character's actions. It is built on the notion that all of the women are victims of sexual abuse - most specifically, Lady Macbeth - who, in this version, has been raped by King Duncan while her husband is off fighting the war.

MPE Productions, nominated last year for two 2016 STAGE RAW AWARDS (with a win for Erica Gimpel in Sister), continues its quest to explore the complexities of true diversity in theatre with the World Premiere of Revolution In A Catsuit by London, U.K. Playwright and Actress, Somi De Souza.

WOMEN w/o WALLS is based on the myth of Charon the ferryman on the River Styx, inspired by Dante's Inferno and Sartre's No Exit. It is an exploration of the fine line between life and death, decision and non-decision, and the intense human experience of connection. While there is no doubt from the moment you meet the four characters that they are on a trip to their final destination, each must find a way to fulfill her destiny before the train reaches its destination.

As a life-long lover of Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shew' and now a fan of the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' trilogy, I was certainly wondering how the two could be combined. Well it appears to be much easier than I thought given the exciting new production of 'Fifty Shades of Shrew' at the Lounge Theater. The all-female cast uses the Bard's exact text and makes it come alive in the most creative BDSM connotations possible by just using a different emphasis on words and actions that promote such fun activities as spanking, Master/Submissive games, handcuffs, and other elements which are discussed for the uninitiated by latex-clad Mistress Kara before the play begins.

Broads' Word Theatre has announced the opening of its premiere production, Fifty Shades of Shrew, an all-female production of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, directed and adapted by Danielle Ozymandias.

Fringe Theatre Company will present RANDOM ACTS, seven new short one-act plays by Fringe Company members that feature fast paced comedy, quirky characters, and contemporary situations that will leave you laughing and craving more. RANDOM ACTS opens Friday May 9th and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. through May 31st.
