La Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de México y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal), mediante la Coordinación Nacional de Literatura (CNL) y el gobierno del estado de Baja California, a través de su secretaría de Cultura, después de evaluar las 92 propuestas participantes en el Premio Bellas Artes Baja California Luisa Josefina Hernández 2023, determinaron que la obra ganadora de este certamen es Coanda, o diatriba de cuatro mujeres singulares, de Carlos Alfonso Nava Sánchez. 

Mujeres en el México revolucionario, futbol, migración, drogas y la conquista espiritual, temas de la Temporada Otoño – Invierno de la CNTeatro. The Inbal will premiere seven stage productions by different creators and in different venues.

Today, The Lorraine Hansberry Initiative announced their plans for programming in Los Angeles that will take place during the summer, including two special installations of sculptor Alison Saar’s statue of Hansberry at Gloria Molina Grand Park from June 14th – June 30th and at the A C Bilbrew Library from July 7th – July 31st.

Today, The Wallace Foundation announced the first eight grantees selected to participate in its Field Studies program, a research component of its ongoing arts initiative focused on arts organizations founded by, with, and for communities of color. Wallace awarded a total of $2.96 million to the following organizations: Arts Administrators of Color Network, BIG We Foundation, Cave Canem, First Peoples Fund, IllumiNative, Mosaic America, South Asian American Digital Archive and World Arts West.
