Blue Hill Troupe, Ltd. (BHT), New York City’s only theatre group dedicated to raising money for local charities, will mark its 100th Anniversary with a production of H.M.S. Pinafore; or, The Lass That Loved a Sailor—Gilbert & Sullivan’s fourth operatic collaboration and their first international hit.

The Blue Hill Troupe, New York City’s only philanthropic musical theater group, will kick off its 100th Anniversary season with “Anything Goes,” Cole Porter’s classic musical comedy of mismatched lovers, bumbling gangsters, and heavenly high jinks on the high seas. Performances will run Nov. 3-11 at The Theatre at St. Jean’s, 184 East 76th St.

The Blue Hill Troupe, New York City's only philanthropic musical theater group, will open its 99th season with The Addams Family: A New Musical, with a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. Performances will take place at the Theatre at St. Jean's on New York's Upper East Side (150 East 76th St. at Lexington Ave), Nov. 4-12.

Be transported to the magical, glamorous and madcap world of The Drowsy Chaperone, the final Main-Stage production of the St. Bart's Players 92nd season. The show runs November 5th through November 10th at the Off-Broadway John Cullum Theatre (formerly The American Theatre of Actors Inc.) in Midtown.

Closing out its 92nd season, the St. Bart's Players will present The Drowsy Chaperone, the five time Tony- Award winning musical, with a book by Bob Martin & Don McKellar and music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert & Greg Morrison. The show runs November 5th-10th with 7 performances at The John Cullum Theatre (314 W. 54th st), formerly The American Theatre of Actors Inc.

The Blue Hill Troupe, the only musical theater group in New York City to donate its net proceeds to charity, performs Gilbert & Sullivan's "Iolanthe," April 8 - April 16, at El Teatro of El Museo del Barrio (1230 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street). All proceeds from the Blue Hill Troupe's production will benefit the Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation.

Utopia Limited, Gilbert & Sullivan's 'shockingly relevant satire of imperialism and globalization,' continues through April 28 at El Teatro of El Museo del Barrio (1230 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street).

The personal theatrical papers of Katharine Hepburn, which were acquired by The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in 2007, will be on view for the first time in the new library exhibition, Katharine Hepburn: In Her Own Files, opening Wednesday, June 10. Her long and rich theater career is documented through typescripts (some, like the script for Coco, annotated in Hepburn?s hand), hundreds of photographs (publicity shots and formal portraits, as well as informal snapshots and rehearsal candids), scrapbooks, promotional ephemera, and sixty years of correspondence (fan mail, congratulatory notes, and general letters from such notable friends and admirers as Judy Garland, Richard Burton, John Ford, Vivien Leigh, Peter O?Toole, Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, and Jeremy Irons, among scores of others. She saved telegrams from her friends and from stage crews and even the cards that come with flower bouquets, including many signed ?Pot,? Hepburn?s pet name for long-time companion Spencer Tracy). The exhibition continues through Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the Vincent Astor Gallery of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B.
