'THIS' a play by Melissa James Gibson (House of Cards) opened on the St. Germain Stage of Barrington Stage Company last night and had most of the first night audience telling there friends 'don't miss THIS', after leaving the theatre.  Broadwayworld was there for the opening night celebration.  When great ideas, words, and acting are heard in a theatre THIS is what happens. 'THIS' runs thru August 27th.  Already Berkshire theatre lovers are also saying 'don't miss this' about Barrington Stage Companies production of COMPANY starring Aaron Tviet on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage August 10-Sept 2...Opening night is August 13.

Actors' Equity Association just presented Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 with the ninth annual "ACCA" Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. Presented by Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA), the ACCA Award is the only industry accolade of its kind to honor the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical.

Just last night, Tony nominee Josh Groban hosted A Celebration for Arts Education, honoring the power of arts education with cocktails, dinner, auction, and performances by Groban, Idina Menzel, Joshua Bell, Brian Stokes Mitchell and the cast of Broadway's Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Richard Kind served as auctioneer for the evening.

Renowned journalist Katie Couric stopped by Pierre's Russian salon this week when she saw Broadway's NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. It seems she enjoyed shaking her egg, as she called it one of the most original and energetic shows she had ever seen. Check out her photo with the cast below!

The season's most Tony-nominated show, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 is gearing up for Tony's night. In order to re-create the immersive vibe of this slice of Tolstoy for Radio City Music Hall, the production is currently seeking performers to fill out their ensemble for Tony's night.

Dave Malloy, creator of the twelve-time Tony nominated new musical NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, made his Broadway performing debut in the show last night, stepping into the role of 'Pierre' for 10 performances across May and June 2017. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the new Broadway musical NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 invited fans to be a part of the upcoming original Broadway cast recording. Just yesterday, fans joined creator Dave Malloy and members of the cast to sing group chorus sections and to play the show's famous egg shakers for the original Broadway cast recording. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the special recording session and you can go inside the singalong below!

On Thursday, February 9th, Broadway's Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 celebrated 100 performances at Broadway's Imperial Theatre. The whole cast was on hand to celebrate the occasion and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture it all. See photos from the backstage celebration below.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that though a waitlist is currently in place, the production is working on recording in a larger venue to accommodate as many fans as possible.
