Little Fish Theatre has announced new dates for the remainder of the company's 2017 Season. Due to this winter's record rainstorms, the theatre was forced to go dark in order to complete emergency electrical repairs. As a result, the original performance schedule was reconfigured. Quartet was moved to the 2018 Season lineup, but all other productions will see the light of day in this calendar year.

Eric Overmyer was born in Boulder, Colorado. He spent most of his youth in Seattle and eventually earned a B. A. in Theatre in 1973 at Reed College in Portland. Aside from On the Verge, his plays include The Heliotrope Bouquet, In a Pig's Valise, Don Quixote de la Jolla, Native Speech, Mi Vida Loca, In Perpetuity Throughout the Universe, and Aliki (an adaptation of Ibsen's play Peer Gynt). Mr Overmyer writes extensively for television, including for St. Elsewhere, The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, Homicide: Life on the Street, The Wire and Law & Order, and has been nominated for two Emmy Awards. He received an Edgar Award for the television feature Rear Window. Overmyer was also a co-creator of the HBO series Treme, about musicians in post-Katrina New Orleans. More recently he's written for and executive producedBoardwalk Empire, executive produced The Affair, and written and produced Amazon's new series Bosch, based on the popular novels by Michael Connelly.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET) Artistic Director Robert J. Farley has announced an exciting lineup of plays for the Company's 24th season of professional theatre in North Fulton County. Following an extraordinarily successful record-breaking year, the bar has been set high for GET as programming continues to grow and expand. The 2016-2017 season will take a journey through love, death, time, foreign lands, freedom fights, and even back to 1956 Memphis, Tennessee. With musicals, comedy, drama, and a world premiere, GET will once again offer an entertaining, enlightening, and illuminating variety of theatre for our patrons throughout north Georgia and beyond. In addition to the mainstage subscription series, GET will produce a four-play Theatre for Young Audiences series, and a four concert Big Band series.
Center Stage announces a 2016/17 homecoming season featuring four mainstage shows and a return to its Baltimore building after a year-long $28 million renovation. Season highlights include a world-premiere adaptation and Center Stage commission of Toni Morrison's Jazz directed by Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah, two Baltimore premieres and the grand opening of the new building.
As a year-long renovation begins at Center Stage's downtown Baltimore home in January, the company starts a temporarily residency at Towson University with a contemporary production of Shakespeare's popular comedy AS YOU LIKE IT, presented by an all-female cast led by award-winning director Wendy C. Goldberg, from tonight, Jan. 15 to Feb. 14.
