FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade/New York Madness present this year's selection for the annual MadLab Reading: you're (no) good or a priori a posteriori by Nico Grelli. The reading will be on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), directed by Nidia Medina. New plays by NYM Company which which developed from a short play written for NY Madness were eligible for the MadLab series.

Joel de la Fuente (Amazon's 'The Man in the High Castle,' 'Hemlock Grove') is reprising his Drama Desk nominated role as Gordon Hirabayashi and 30 other characters in Jeanne Sakata's powerful and timely award-winning play Hold These Truths for a limited run on the St Germain Stage at The Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield, MA through June 8.

I'm preparing. I'm expecting. I haven't figured out the path to creation yet. Christina Anderson's bold, imaginative portrait of three artist/intellectual couples exploring personal and professional legacy, How to Catch Creation makes its world premiere at Goodman Theatre. A playwright of note for more than a decade, with previous works at The Public Theater, Yale Repertory Theatre and Playwrights Horizons, Anderson makes her Goodman debut. Niegel Smith, who most recently directed the smash sensation Father Comes Home from the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) last season at the Goodman, directs Anderson's play, which appeared as a reading in the Goodman's 2017 New Stages Festival.

NY Madness starts its 9th season this month. The first Madness of the season will be a collaboration with The Playwriting Collective and will take place on Sunday, January 27 at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery).

The Pierre New York, A Taj Hotel's acclaimed cabaret series, Broadway At The Pierre, continues this month with a celebration of HAMILTON: An American Musical. Epic Theatre Ensemble is currently presenting the world premiere of The Winning Side, the acclaimed new play by James Wallert, by popular demand. The Winning Side initially began previews on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 and officially opened on Monday, October 8, 2018 at The Acorn Theatre of Theatre Row (410 West 42nd St.), a program Building for the Arts NY, Inc. It will now play through Sunday, November 4, 2018.
