This Tony-nominated musical following three couples on a university campus dealing with the painful, rewarding and unexpectedly funny consequences of pregnancy and parenthood features a book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire, and lyrics by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr.

Out of the Box Theatrics' site-specific production of the Broadway musical Baby, starring Julia Murney (Broadway's Wicked, Off-Broadway's The Wild Party) will play beginning this November!

The virtual production of The Last Five Years has been extended. The production, which has been nominated for a Drama League Award for Outstanding Digital Theatre, Individual Production, originally ran March 15-28, and recently returned for an encore engagement from April 13-25. The production will now be available through May 9

New York City’s Out of the Box Theatrics has announced its 2021 Season, including the previously announced virtual production of The Last Five Years and the long-awaited return of the company’s site-specific production of Baby, as well as a virtual benefit for Black History Month, a residency in partnership with New Hampshire’s Weathervane Theatre, and a new work festival.

Out of the Box Theatrics has announced a return engagement for its site-specific production of the Broadway musical Baby, starring Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal). The production, directed and choreographed by Mr. Paulini, will play from April 17 through May 10, 2020 in a 60-seat loft at Theatrelab (357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor). Opening night is Monday, April 27.

Directed by Amy Jones, this site-specific one-woman drama will star Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley (Next To Normal, Side Show, Sunset Boulevard). Previews begin May 9 at the Episcopal Actors' Guild with opening slated for May 15.

The classic musical features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Ethan Paulini will direct. Marisa Kirby choreographs with music direction by Anessa Marie.

Brian Charles Rooney leads a cast that includes Amara Janae Brady, Gaby Garcia, Alie B. Gorrie, Alicia Krakauer, Alaina Mills, Celena Vera Morgan, Sidney Ronis and Katherine Yacko. Rien Schlecht is the Production Designer and Egypt Dixon is Production Stage Manager.
