Following an unprecedented thirty show run, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, the acclaimed and award-winning cabaret series, continued on Sunday, Sept 15 at 54 Below. Sondheim Unplugged is currently celebrating the third year of it's smash run, having begun this journey of celebrating Sondheim in July of 2010.

Hosted by Good Day New York's Rosanna Scotto, Top Comediennes performed at The Friars Club in NYC to Benefit Women Survivors of the Rwandan Genocide. The SHOP-SHMOOZE-LAUGH event benefited the fair-trade jewelry initiative of SAME SKY (founder Francine LeFrak), an organization that offers employment to women living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

The show is a loosely-based musical autobiography outlining their lives from their childhood in Chicago, to their move to New York City, to the ever-continuing adventures of their luminous careers.

Last night at his home Tommy Tunehosted a cocktail party the one and only Carol Channing welcoming her back to NYC. Ms. Channing was toasted and honored by guests including Tyne Daly, Donna McKechnie, Lucie Arnaz, Lorna Luft, Brooke Shields, Liliane Montevecchi, Robert Klein, Michael Riedel, Frank DiLella, Arlene Dahl, Peter Glebo, Wayne Gmitter, Jim Caruso, Bruce Vilanch, Chris DiLella Jamie deRoy, Richard Skipper and more. Cinderella's Laure Osnes and her husband Nathan Johnson serenaded Ms. Channing with Before the Parade Passes By.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and TriStan Wilson, Managing Director, presents Scott and Hem in the Garden of Allah, a world premiere play written and directed by BSC Associate Artist Mark St. Germain about the friendship and rivalry between F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.

Keith Lockhart led the Boston Pops in an evening concert in the Shed on August 16, with celebrated pianist, vocalist, and archivist of the great American Songbook, Michael Feinstein. The evening featured some of the most beloved tunes in the American songbook repertoire. Special guests included Broadway and television star Cheyenne Jackson and actress and singer Faith Prince. Maye performed a special one-night-only engagement at The Iridium on July 10. 'Maye Takes Five,' presented by The Iridium and ScoBar Entertainment, featured her trio (pianist/musical director Tedd Firth, bassist Tom Hubbard and drummer Ray Marchica) plus special guests including renowned clarinetist Ken Peplowski and noted trumpet man Brian Pareschi. Drama Desk and Helen Hayes Award winner Jim Brochu ('Zero Hour,' 'The Big Voice: God or Merman?') just debuted his new solo show 'Character Man' at the Metropolitan Room. Check out photos from the concert below!

From 1941 to 1976 New York City subway and bus riders were treated to more than 9,000 posters of 200 attractive young women all dubbed 'Miss Subways' for the month. The women on the posters were the faces of New York. They were wartime nurses in the 1940s, college girls studying to become teachers in the 1950s, and secretaries who dreamed of singing careers in the 1960s. These amazing girls shared their stories and the hopes and dreams of their generation at the legendary Friars Club. Friar Stewie Stone created some extremely funny moments as he interviewed Miss Subways, and 'The Copa Boys' performed some Four Seasons tunes.

Tennessee Williams' The Two-Character Play, uniting the talents of Tony Award winner Amanda Plummer (Agnes of God, Pulp Fiction) and Academy Award nominee Brad Dourif (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), directed by Gene David Kirk, opened Wednesday night at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).
