Jamie deRoy is back at 54 with special guests Larry Gatlin, Tonya Pinkins, Lewis Cleale, Daisy Jopling, and Caroline Rhea. Jamie deRoy & Friends has been thrilling New York City audiences for the past 22 years and serves as the basis for deRoy's award-winning cable television show. Directed by Barry Kleinbort, the show spotlights a wide variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret, theater and comedy worlds. Jamie is the recipient of eight MAC Awards, four BackStage Bistro Awards, ten Telly Awards and CaB Magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award for her extensive work on both stage and screen. Acclaimed singer and songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway returned to Birdland Jazz Club this week, ending her run tonight, January 26, 2013, of a special new show, 'Bridges' - inspired by the song by Brazilian composer Milton Nascimento. BroadwayWorld was there and brings you photos below!

New York audiences remember her from It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Broadway Bound, Collected Stories, The Diary of Anne Frank, Gypsy, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, and many others, and the world over knows her as Alice Hyatt in the long-running hit TV series Alice. A veteran of the cabaret stage, Linda began her career playing such NYC nightspots as The Showplace in Greenwich Village and midtown's Downstairs at the Upstairs. Recently, Linda released her very first CD, Possibilities. This January, she'll be joined at 54 Below by Musical Director Billy Stritch, John Hart on guitar, and special guest violinist, Aaron Weinstein, playing Linda Lavin, Jan. 11 & 12 at 8:30PM & Jan. 10 at 7PM:. Primary Stages last night held their annual Gala on Wednesday at The Edison Ballroom (240 W. 47th Street). The event, which honored Tony Award winner Tyne Daly (Master Class, Rabbit Hole, Gypsy), and producers and Primary Stages Board members Jamie deRoy and Ted Snowdon, featured performances by Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair), actor/director/producer Tamara Tunie ("Law & Order: SVU," "As The World Turns"), Lewis Cleale (The Book of Mormon, Spamalot, Call Me Madam), and Garrett Sorenson (Master Class). FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY presents a special concert engagement of television and film star Tamara Tunie as part of the Fall 2012 Season. After she participated in a well-received concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center in May, performing the music of Cy Colman opposite such luminaries as James Naughton and Michele Lee, Tamara was inspired to return to singing. Tamara has been singing her entire life, including early appearances at Upstairs at Greenstreet and Steve McGraw's early in her career, before film and TV took over. After making it big in movies and TV and then bringing home a Tony Award as a producer for Spring Awakening on Broadway, many people forgot or never knew that her roots were in musical theatre. She is often asked, 'Do you sing?' She is answering that question with this evening of re -imagined show tunes and jazz standards entitled 'Yes, I Sing!' The show will feature Musical Direction by Mike Renzi, acclaimed for his work with Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Mel Torme, Blossom Dearie and more. Her engagement - which coincides with the release of her new film, Flight, opposite Denzel Washington - will be run for one week only, through November 3.

The Great Neck Arts Center held their Gala 2012 at the Historic Oheka Castle last night. In 2013 the Center will be marking it's 20th anniversary in Nassau County. It serves a large population of children, teens and adults from a wide geographic region that includes NYC boroughs and Suffolk County.

Tony Lo Bianco reprises his award-winning role as Mayor Fiorello H. La Guardia in THE LITTLE FLOWER, which opened last night, October 23, at the Dicapo Opera Theatre (184 East 76th Street between Lexington and 3rd Ave). Written and directed by Mr. Lo Bianco, adapted from the play Hizzoner! by Paul Shyre, THE LITTLE FLOWER plays a special limited-run through Friday, November 2, 2012.
