There's a new face in the Five Points…BBC AMERICA and Cineflix Studios announced today that critically-acclaimed actress Alfre Woodard (Steel Magnolias, Twelve Years a Slave, True Blood) will guest star in the second season of COPPER, BBC AMERICA's highest-rated original drama set in 1860s New York City. The series returns Sunday, June 23, 10:00pm ET/PT.

BBC AMERICA announced today, hit original series COPPER, will premiere Sunday, June 23, 10:00pm ET/PT. The first teaser trailer, featuring music by Iron and Wine, will be revealed tomorrow during BBC AMERICA's broadcast of Doctor Who at 8:00pm ET/PT. Set in 1865 New York City, Tom Weston-Jones returns as Detective Kevin Corcoran, an Irish-American cop who seeks justice for the powerless in the notorious Five Points. Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy, Max Payne), Eamonn Walker (Chicago Fire, Oz), Lee Tergesen (The Big C, Oz) and Andrew Howard (Hatfield & McCoys, The Hangover) join the cast for the second season.

On CHICAGO FIRE's upcoming episode, titled 'Ambition,' Mills (Charlie Barnett) finds himself the target of resentment from some colleagues when Severide (Taylor Kinney) supports his desire to join Squad. Tara (guest star Brooke Nevin), a paramedic candidate, joins Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Shay (Lauren German) on the job for a few shifts. Meanwhile, Shay comes to the aid of Cindy Herrmann (guest star Robyn Coffin), who suffers from pregnancy complications while her husband Christopher (David Eigenberg) is out of town. Elsewhere, Dawson and Casey (Jesse Spencer) draw closer as the grand opening of Molly's draws near, and Casey receives a surprise visit. Eamonn Walker also guest stars. 'Ambition' airs April 3 at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.

On CHICAGO FIRE's upcoming episode, titled 'Fireworks,' with tensions still running high between Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) and Bennie Severide (guest star Treat Williams), things boil over when Mills confronts Bennie about the fire that killed his father. 'Fireworks' airs March 20 at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.

If the dog is truly man's best friend, then a firehouse dog must be a firefighter's comrade in arms, as viewers of NBC's 'Chicago Fire' will see in tonight's (Wednesday, January 30) episode that introduces new series regular 'Pouch' -- a precocious rescue puppy adopted by Firehouse 51 as well as embraced by the show's cast and crew.

Meanwhile, Casey (Jesse Spencer) struggles with family matters and Dawson (Monica Raymund) takes matters into her own hands when she discovers a young girl who is the sole survivor at the scene of a rescue call. Lauren German, Charlie Barnett and David Eigenberg also star. Sarah Shahi, Kathleen Quinlan and Nicole Forester guest star.

NBC has picked up its new freshman drama CHICAGO FIRE with a production commitment for the remainder of the 2012-13 season, it was announced today by Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment.
